Customers say

Customers find the pet pest control product a good value and easy to apply. They mention it’s cheaper than getting mods at the vet, and has similar ingredients to more expensive products. However, some customers have mixed opinions on its functionality, fleas, skin irritation, tick resistance, smell, and side effects.

Better than K9 Advantix 2 and Cheaper
Seems to work good. Its been on my two dogs for about 3 weeks and no fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes doesn’t bite them. Both are around 30lbs. And both are mixed breeds. Both have been on K9 Advantix 2 for years but recently maybe since Bayer sold to Elanco (probably cutting cost) their formula is really watery and just beads off when applied. So tried out Activate 2 and so far so good. And Activate 2 isn’t watery and actually stays on skin when applied.

    Flea treatment
The product worked great start with but after about the first week it started losing it as effectiveness and my dog started getting fleas and ticks again so I am going to have to treat them earlier than 4 weeks because they’re already infested again I put a four but it’s more like probably a three killed ticks and fleas instantly soon as they got treated but did not work like it says

One day later and its a vast improvement.
After just 1 day, I see an major improvement. Our dogs are very important companions to us. I was almost hesitant to purchase the product, but after reading several reviews here and looking at the mfgs. website. I decided to give it a try. I usually want more feedback before trying a product on my beloved dogs. I am glad, that I decided to forge ahead and be the one to give feedback for everyone else. The wife and I have multiple huskies whom we share our life with. I certainly love the price point. It works just as good as other name brands. I say other name brands as this product will certainly be a name brand, and it is one we now trust. My huskies tolerated this product very well, and showed no signs of any reaction at all. Well except for a major reduction in fleas. After 24 hours, I checked our dogs and I couldn’t see any visible movement. I know its not a 100% product on the first go and it will take few applications to completely stop the cycle. With further applications for preventive too. That price sure makes it easy to provide those. I/we literally cut our monthly medication bill in 1/2. So we will 100% be purchasing this product again.Being basically a rescue, (our vet classifies us as one) due to taking in multiple huskies over the years. We have tried to be frugal with some things but food and flea medicine are things we don’t cut corners on. I would recommend this to any rescue groups out there whom may have tight budget constraints. We know the more you can control costs the more you can help other animals.Being as how passionate we are about our pups, I will be sure to update this review as needed.** edit:I wanted to notate we have used this on dogs as young as ~1 year, to senior dogs 13+ years of age. All have faired well and tolerated the medication well. Its now October 2017, and we are well outside our normal flea flare up season. The pups are doing well, the medication continues to be a vital part of our medication regimen. I saw no ill affects at any time in its use across as many as 13 huskies. Yes we have 13 huskies as pets. They are all rescues and not used for breeding purposes. Actually all are fixed.Edit 2:Its now December 2017 and we are still continuing to purchase Activate II, everything is still going well for our huskies.**** I will continue to suggest this as an alternative to some of the other higher priced medications. Having said that all users should be on the look out for adverse reactions when any medication is given. I would recommend placing an animal poison control number in your phone. Remember that pets are just like us, I may react differently to a medication, that you can easily tolerate. The same goes for the pets. The vast majority of the population may likely see no ill effects, but you have to be prepared if they are in the minority group and cannot tolerate a medication.

    It works wonders!
I have 4 large dogs. This is the second time/ month using this. I love this product. I use a bristled brush to completely rub it in after applying per instructions. I live in 26 acres of woods in Florida where ticks and fleas are a huge problem. This keeps my pets well protected. No fleas or ticks!

    Absolute Crap!!! Editted
I had gotten a recommendation for this product from a friend. We had been waging a war with fleas since we moved into our new place and discovered there were fleas here.I am on a limited income so when I buy treatments for fleas I had better get good value for my money. That absolutely didn’t happen here. I gave my poor Luna the treatment as directed on the box over a week ago. The box said it would take 12 hours to kill existing fleas and 2 hours for any new fleas. What a joke. My dog now has more fleas than she ever had. The cheapo box they sell at Dollar General was more effective than this, which I paid over 3 times as much for.We took one day and cleaned the entire house and surface of any and all fleas. Yet now my dog has more fleas than before. It is as if she was never treated at all. We were diligent with every product and all the fleas elsewhere in the house are gone, except for my room (where the sog primarily stays as I am disabled with limited mobility) which is crawling with them. We have treated the room several times since we gave her this treatment. We just used a product that we can spray on the dog and it kills the fleas rather quickly. Dozens and dozens and dozens of fleas came off my chihuahua.Do you understand the health risks of a severe flea infestation, eapecially to a small dog? How can you sell a product that does not do what it claims to do? I am so irate! Now I have to take more money from my limited budget and buy a different product that will be effective. That leaves 3 months of treatment completely unused. If I could I would send it back with the corpses of all the fleas I just killed off my dog!Edit- it was suggested that I try using 2 packages as one is not sufficient to actually cover dog as recommended. 2 packages worked well for 3 weeks. Not pleased to have to buy twice as much. Why not include enough in 1 package to be effective?

    So Far
So far it works great Pet was infested with fleas it broke my heart when I found out. Because she is a member of my family not just a pet so to see her suffer like that hurt me. So along with a pet shampoo that I’ve been using for years and with this activatell it seems to be under control Good price for 4 months supply I’ll be well in the winter and headed into spring by the time I run out
