Customers say

Customers praise the boots for their quality, describing them as the best they’ve tried. However, some have experienced issues with the zippers failing before winter ends and freezing. The zippers also don’t go down far enough, making it difficult to put the boots on.

Finally, a dog boot that stays on our active Springer!
Well, I have to modify my review as I had to return them. After using them one time, we noticed they cause wounds back leg tendons on our dog. It appears from rubbing. Sad as they worked really well staying on our active dog. This issue is something you may want to watch on your dog.We have tried several boots and when Max runs, they go flying! Well, taking him in deep snow was a concern, as we sure didn’t want him to lose one! Especially in deep snow. No problem with these boots. Plus they are easy to get on with the zipper on the side. I also believe Max does better with the flexible leather sole than he did with the had rubber ones. I believe he actually has better traction as they grip items better (kind of like letting the air out of tires grip better on obstacles than fully inflated tires). One helpful hint: Be sure to get them fitted properly before letting your pooch get in the snow. Once the Velcro gets snow packed on it, it is hard to get it to stick. Also, the zipper will freeze but not an issue as when you are done, simply undo the straps and pull them off.

    Won’t stay on
These just don’t stay on at all during an active walk. I’m so glad I ordered from Amazon and could send them back. We tried two different sizes but neither worked unfortunately. Thankfully someone told us about the rubber disposable boots and they work like a charm.

    best dog boots
These stay on! But they’re better on grass than concrete. If you have a musher/puller, these may come off your dogs foot. However, for running around (off leash/fenced yard) in the snow, these are the ones to get. They stay in, keep their feet warm and dry. Durable. I’ve tried so many kinds of dog boots. Most were useless. These work!

Not quite the durability we’d hoped for.
One of the zippers failed before winter ended. Fit was good. Somewhat challenging to put them on snugly.

    Bloody due to rubbing
Our vet recommended these for use while Roosevelt was healing from toe surgery. We only used this on one rear foot. And it did keep that foot clean and mostly dry. But as he recoved I was able to walk him (off road on dirt trails and grass) for about 1 mile. And that distance was enough to rub the fur and skin off of his ankle. With bleeding. So we resorted to wrapping his legs with gauze and Vet Wrap BEFORE putting his boot on, each day.I’m wondering how to prevent friction with use of this product.

    best boots weve tried
Side zipper is a big help. The leather bottoms make more sense vs hard rubber soles. Only flaw might be the brand label/tag is sewn directly below the upper velcro spot leading to it blocking most of that velcro some-of-the-time. If it continues to be a problem then I’d just cut it off. 34lb dog, XSmall

    Don’t waste your money
Silly me, I thought that $100 dog booties were expected to actually stay ON!

Doggo’s fav booties. He can walk on it comfortably than his ruffwear polar trex and pawz rubber boots. I like that it keeps his pawsies warm and generally dry on the snow. It is a bit challenging to put on as I want to make sure it won’t fall off and it’s not too tight to make him uncomfortable. So far, it stayed in place. 100% recommend.

We have original boots and they are super hard to put on but this one’s with zipper is so much easier!I will have to return this one’s since the velcro is the most important on boots and I’m hoping I can get M/L before they r sold out.
