My dog loves this
My dog loves to be challenged. She’s a service working dog so when we aren’t out and about in situations that may mentally challenge her I like to keep her sharp with feeding puzzles and trick training on top of her regular training. I find puzzles like this as well as lick pads help her release any stress from a long day of being a service dog. It’s important to remember that animals feel stress as well, especially working dogs because they take on our emotions as well.This puzzles is very well made and easy to take apart and put together for cleaning purposes. It’s not difficult for the pups to figure out but enough to give a bit of an extra challenge. I highly recommend.

Great Slow Feeder!
This has been a great slow feeder in my dogs rotation over the last couple of months. It holds about 2 cups, maybe a little bit less of food if you fill all three levels however I like to fill it with other enrichments and put the rest of my dogs food in other feeders. I like the three different shapes and textures and it’s been fairly easy to clean. I’ve only hand-washed it so not sure how it would perform in the dishwasher. I like that it’s de-constructable so that you can fill each level individually and wash every piece!

Interactive Spinning Dog Puzzle Toy and Slow FeederI didn’t get this for my dog, I got it for my cats. Nim and Echo are especially food motivated, and Echo often annoys (pounces and chomps) his house sibling cats when bored. He LOVES food, and will work hard to figure out how to get it.The cats have taken refuge from the new dog in the basement, and I think this will at least provide a bit of entertainment for them while I continue to work on calming and impulse control type of exercises with the Kevin (the dog).I like this puzzle toy a lot (and so does Echo!) for many reasons. I can adjust how much effort is required to get reward and how much reward is available. Placing food on the top layer is easiest for the cat to get obviously. The bottom layer would seem like the hardest layer to access but actually the top and middle layer tend to rotate as one unit if you casually just push at the missing wedge area on one or the other, which means the middle layer takes more intention or luck to get to than the bottom.I work part time at an animal shelter which has given me some deep seated criteria for judging stuff. How easy to clean something is (or will it withstand being washed and de-germed between animals) really is important. I may not be having to de-germ between animals or uses, as all my critters live together and stuff, but I still want to not have to faff around cleaning tons of tiny crannies with a tooth pick or tooth brush. I love that this thing has a simple unscrew cap on the top of the spindle, and then all of the pieces separate. I haven’t tried using wet food in it as I’ve already tried lick-mats things with wet food smears and frozen wet food smears, and they basically left like half the food on them and I think Echo went around and cleaned the mats because the others weren’t that into them and still there probably was 50% food waste. So, why bother making crusted food mess which I can put in the dishwasher but still may come out with remnants if I don’t presoak or scrub first. All the cats love mainstream cat treats and Nim and Echo are such foodies they will eat weight loss kibbles like they are treats anyway, so I can use dry things like crunchy treats and literally their ‘trying to be less fatty-cat kibbles’ as a reason for them to be messing with the toy.I initially loaded as many of the little divots on the middle and bottom layers as I could get before Echo could hork them down like a vacuuum, and so he really didn’t have to work hard initially to gobble them. He already has figured out simpler toys which involve moving pieces to reveal the yumyums, so he quickly was able to grasp pushing the top to layers to access the bottom. I did a bit of demo for him to figure out there was another layer but he really didn’t care because the easy ones hadn’t run out yet. I left it in the basement with them overnight and all the kibbles were found and destroyed by the next day. I’m really excited for this to add some extra mental stimulation for my cats. Maybe eventually the dog, too, but for now the cats can have it. I could even use this as an entire meal slow feeder type thing (I’d have to adjust the output on the auto feeders I have in each cat’s food cave… yes each cat has their own storage tote bin thing with a personally programmed micrichip activated cat flap to keep Nim and Echo from snagging Indy’s food when she nibbles some kibbles and leaves most for later.).I haven’t put it to a gnaw test from a dog but it isn’t for that anyway and if you have a power chewer, supervision would be important! I’m expecting a long life from this with the cats using it and easy cleaning.

We try to find enrichment items to keep our CAT’S brains and problem solving abilities keen. Treat or feeding puzzles keep our cats entertained for hours and we switch them up every couple of weeks to keep things fresh. We put kibble inside but the cats attack them like they were treats. It keeps them busy and prevents boredom and sometimes in the middle of the night we hear one of the cats working at spinning the layers to score a treat. I am particularly happy the layers can be taken apart to clean in the dishwasher. I hate hand washing and if it doesn’t survive the dishwasher it isn’t long in this house lol.

Seems great but it came missing the middle that holds it all together, so I can’t use one of them.Feels pretty good quality and I think my dogs will enjoy the one they can use. Comes apart very easy for cleaning
