Let me start off by saying this isn’t a paid review.Memory foam’s quality isn’t just reliant on density. The measure of density of memory foam gives it a Ultra Plush/Plush/Medium Plush/Medium/Medium Firm/Firm/Extra Firm feel.In order for memory foam to BE plush, it has to be low density. The reason Tempur-Pedic doesn’t offer low density memory foam (Tempur-ES 4.1 LB Foam & Original Tempur 5.3 LB Foam) is because they distinguish themselves that way. I’ve used Tempur-Topper Supreme (3″ Tempur Original 5.3LB Memory Foam), and it’s super high quality, but that Topper is meant for people who like firm mattresses, and I can say the same thing about the 3″ Tempur-ES Memory Foam. I’ve flipped between this memory foam topper, and a Tempur-ES topper. The Tempur-ES is nice, and you can move around easier, but I never feel like I’m being cushioned and like I’m relaxed. You sink in to the Lucid 4″ topper, and my body physically relaxes, and I feel cushioned. I wouldn’t even go as far to say the Lucid 4″ topper is plush, but in order to be a comfortable foam, you will have to sink in quite a bit, or else you’re just laying on expensive concrete. Memory Foam is meant to be inexpensive – Memory Foam is cheap to make as they’re basically just made of fossil fuels. Don’t judge this topper by the price. I first tried a 3″ Memory Foam Topper here on Amazon, since the topper had like a 4.9/5 on 100+ reviews, but I don’t think that topper was memory foam, and was just basic polyurethane foam. The memory foam had no squishy feeling, and the imprint recovery was almost instant. The Lucid 4″ Topper has a fairly slow recovery from imprint time given the Lucid Memory Foam’s density.My parents back pains got better when I got them the 4″ Lucid Topper.If you’re a normal person, and you keep an open mind, then this Lucid 4″ Memory Foam Topper is the best thing to make you sleep extra deeper, and sleep longer period or times. I went back to the Tempur-ES topper for 3 months, and that was the dumbest decision I’ve made in the past few years. My body oozes with relaxation and comfort on the Lucid 4″ Topper now, of which never has happened w/ my Tempur-ES topper. Once you get the 4″ Lucid Topper, be prepared to be hard to move around if you want to flip over in the middle of the night, but I flip positions 60-70% less w/ the Lucid Topper compared to the Tempurpedic-ES memory foam topper.I use the Lucid King Pillow hybrid as a pillow, the Lucid body pillow I hold on to w/ my arms when I lay on my side, and the basic Lucid memory foam pillow for in between my legs. The side sleep system I use is the best way to sleep. I do hear the Serta Perfect Sleep Luminous Plush Pillow Top is nice, but I can’t imagine anything being more comfortable than the Lucid 4″ Topper.Enjoy!-Andy R.

Seriously, my prayers have been answered. I only wish I would have thought to invest in this mattress topper while I was pregnant. It might have saved me a huge headache (literally).I’ve never had much luck with mattresses, but I’ve never really blamed the mattresses – because I suck at sleeping. Apparently, I’m a contortionist in my sleep and do things with my body that would give little Linda Blair a run for her money. I wake up a million times a night with pains in my head, my neck, my back, my hips, my legs, literally everywhere.However, I’ve had a friend come over to help with my new baby and I happen to have the same mattress in the guest room that I have in my main bedroom. She brought it up to me one day that her hip and lower back were killing her since sleeping on the mattress in the guest room- even though it is a pretty expensive pillow-top brand. She asked me if I could order her some kind of mattress topper from Amazon and she’d reimburse me.At this point, I had been in so much agony myself that I got two – one for the guest bed and one for mine. And if it weren’t for the fact that I only have nightmares, I’d insist that I’m dreaming up this amazing experience with this mattress topper. I mean, I really don’t even have words for this thing. I’m not pain free – because, well, it’s gonna take a lot of time to undo that kind of damage. But I have noticed a dramatic difference.My body feels so soothingly cradled. I’m not tossing and turning constantly trying to get comfortable. It’s just pure bliss. This may sound strange, but it feels like a hug. It does. It really does. Like a hug from the Pillsbury Dough Boy.Some Technical Details:1) It was very easy to set up.2) There was only a very faint odor that dissipated almost immediately.3) I was so desperate to use it that I didn’t even wait the full 48 hours as suggested but it seemed to be super plump straight out of the box. The density is perfect for me.4) It fit absolutely perfectly across my king-sized bed5) It appears to be of durable quality unlike some toppers I have seen or used in the past that easily shred or discolored. Time will be the ultimate test so I can’t 100 percent guarantee this but judging from observation this would appear to be the case. I will update as necessary.6) It does live up to the claim about not retaining heat and keeping the body a cool and comfortable temperature (which is crucial for a person like me because I practically need to live in an igloo).So yes, I’m very impressed thus far and absolutely I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. I’ve honestly never been this excited to go to sleep. My fiance loves it and he was a bit upset that I got it in the first place because he loved the mattress the way it was, but now he loves THIS more. And even my little doggie who has become a neurotic mess since my baby was born seems to be a tad more comforted and peaceful sleeping next to me now.Just writing about it makes me want to go upstairs and jump in bed. I’m starting to wonder if they put something inside this thing if you know what I’m talking about, because I’m addicted. Just kidding… Maybe.

So Far, So Good, But…
After much research and reading hundreds of reviews, I settled on ordering this 4″ topper to replace the one we’d had for several years. Our old one was no longer working for us and we were waking in the morning with aches and pains that we shouldn’t have had so we knew our old pad was breaking down. I’d seen a couple of the reviews that showed some tears in this pad after it had been in use for awhile and since it’s foam, I would expect some normal wear and tear, but I didn’t expect it to be delivered that way. You can see in the pictures where it was torn upon opening it from the flat pack. We hadn’t even put it on the bed yet. Just opened it on the dining room table to allow it to expand. After discussing things with my husband, we decided it wasn’t worth trying to see what Amazon would do, there was no way we were going to get it back into the box and we still needed a pad. So on the bed it went, tears and all. Well, sleeping on it is amazing! It’s comfortable, cozy, we’re sleeping great, waking up pretty much pain free and really happy overall so we’re ‘torn’ between the quality, which we feel is poor as far as the tearing goes, and the fact that it’s wonderful as far as a topper goes. So, take this review with a grain of salt because who knows how long it’s going to last, but at least we’ll sleep great while it does.

I would say my level of quality sleep is improved due to the added comfort.They say that the mattress you sleep on is one of the best investments you can make. I agree with this notion, and this item is a no brainer for that reason. The price is so cheap, how can you not at least try it for yourself to see if you like?With Amazon’s effortless returns, there’s nothing to lose.Only thing I disagree with in the product description is the heat absorption helping to keep you cool. It absorbs your body heat well enough, but I don’t find the gel/foam does anything to cool things down.That doesn’t change anything as far as the mattress topper being comfortable though.Fantastic purchase. I should have bought it years sooner.

Lo uso arriba de un colchón de memory foam que es demasiado firme y este topper fue la solución perfecta, sigue teniendo buen soporte para el cuerpo al dormir pero con una sensación de suavidad muy agradable, antes habÃa comprado uno de otra marca (más caro incluso) que hacÃa que te hundieras como en una cama inflable, muy incómodo. Vivo en un lugar donde hace mucho calor y con el topper no hemos sentido que se incremente, asà que dirÃa que es fresco; lo uso debajo de un protector de colchón y la sábana de algodón. Es muy suave pero sin hundirte, al menos poniéndolo sobre un colchón firme, al principio parece que no se modifica la superficie pero es que poco a poco toma la forma del cuerpo, al levantarte puedes ver que queda marcada la silueta y vuelve a tomar su forma lentamente. El precio me parece justo y cumple lo que anuncia. Quizás serÃa bueno que viniera con una funda, manipular la esponja sin protección puede hacer que se dañe mas fácil y se ensucie. Después de desempacarlo tomó su tamaño en una hora aproximadamente y no despide olores a quÃmicos. Algo a tomar en cuenta es que no ajusta exactamente al tamaño del colchón, (aunque es de la misma marca que mi colchón), asà que verás un ligero “desnivel” en las orillas como de unos 2 cm, pero nada que impida su buen funcionamiento.
