Keeps the cat warm
For the price this does a great job and keeps my outdoor cat nice and comfortable. It is also nice that you can wash it. I have bought two of these so he stays warm and cuddly when the snow flies.

Very nice!
My cats haven’t tried it out yet, but I’m sure they will once they get accustomed to living in my house. I just adopted a mom and her 2 kittens, and this is the perfect size, and matches my carpet perfectly. Quality is super. So far the kittens have played with it, but not laid on it. I like the idea that it is warm for them to lay on, and it’s a great value, so give it a try!

Looks Promising, But the Cats Are Still Deciding!
I purchased the Self-Warming Cat Bed to give the feral cats on my porch a cozier option during colder weather. While the product seems fantastic, the cats haven’t made the switch from their old spot yet. Here’s my take so far: 1. Self-Warming Feature: The mat feels warm to the touch after testing it myself, so I’m confident it’ll do a great job once the cats give it a chance. 2. Size and Material: It’s the perfect size for a single cat, and the materials feel sturdy. The removable cover is a big plus for easy cleaning. 3. Attractive Design: It looks clean and inviting, so I’m hopeful the cats will eventually explore it. Maybe they’re just loyal to their old bed for now!I’ll update my review once the cats start using it, but for now, I’m giving it 4 stars for quality and potential. If you’re buying for outdoor or feral cats, just know it might take them a little time to adjust.

Great cat bed
I recently got a self-warming bed for my cat, and it’s been a game changer! The soft fabric is incredibly cozy, making it the perfect spot for my furry son to snuggle up in. I love that it requires no maintenance and eliminates any worries about electrical or battery issues. While the warmth isn’t always obvious to me, my cat clearly enjoys it and spends hours lounging comfortably, which makes it a win in my book!

It works great and the outside cat loves it!
The cat seems to love the plush outter cover and it really does warm up when sat upon.Try not to let it get wet as it takes a while to dry out and it says not to put the dryer.

My two cats wouldn’t go near it.
I didn’t see anything wrong with it, except maybe that it was only about an inch thick. But it’s a moot point: neither one wanted a thing to do with it.I even made a point of putting it on the seat of my oldest kitty’s recliner (yes, it’s hers. She claimed it & sleeps there = hers).Three times. She walked around on it then walked off in a huff & sat on the floor looking at me VERY accusingly. Clearly not ok with the “new thing” on her chair. I set her on it once, too. She was not well pleased. The other one walked by, stopped to sniff it once, at the base of the other kitty’s recliner, then pretended it didn’t exist from then on.Could have just as well tossed the $ out the door!I thought that eventually, a cooler day or boredom, one would lay on it to check it out.Two months & it’s still a big NOPE!It’s a crap-shoot when we buy something for our babies! *shrug*

perfect small size for taking to a restaurant
We take our pup to eat on patios as much as possible, even in cool NorCal winters, and so far this seems durable and high quality as pictured, soft top. Ordered a second to keep in husband’s car. Haven’t tested if the bottom that has a little nonskid is waterproof and truly upholds sliding on slick surfaces, hope that is true. Worked great on cement patio 🙂 We have small cooling mats for summer heat.

TL;DR (for those not up to snuff on online lingo, this means “too long; didn’t read” and summarizes a lengthy post, or in this case, a lengthy review. You’re welcome.)– Gorgeous, soft sherpa or sherpa-like top cover.– The cats use it and will sometimes stay there for a long time.– Try covering it with a pillow case or one of your t-shirts if you’ve given them, say, a week or two and they really don’t seem to be catching on that this is a good thing. Also catnip.– It is not a bed but a pad. You’ll be disappointed if you’re expecting it to be thick like a bed.– It does not heat up on its own but uses the pet’s body temperature to provide heat. Hence the description self-warming or self-heating.– It is not noiseless. There is a quiet crinkle sound.– Overall an excellent purchase and one I highly recommend.I put this on a chair in front of the loveseat where we sit. It took both cats a few days to be brave enough to sit on it (we had placed them on it a few times but they jumped off of it immediately.) Once the cats discovered it for themselves they started lying on that chair when we’re in the room, and will sometimes stay there long after we leave for another part of the house.I bought another one of these of a different brand from Amazon (cheaper than this one) at the same time I ordered this. This one is much nicer, though to be fair the cats seem to like them both equally. I just think the cover of this one is softer and a better quality material. In spite of what the listing says, it is not quiet. There is a crinkle sound. To me it sounds a bit like when you pull apart clothes from the dryer that are stuck together by static cling. It is subtle but worth mentioning for people who can’t tolerate certain sounds. One of my cats kneads it before she lies down on it so I think she likes it. It’s like a crinkly cat toy.I see so many reviews saying the cat didn’t take to it. The key to making it work is just like the real estate mantra: location, location, location. And time. Just let them discover it and try it out themselves. It may take a while but be patient. Put it in a spot you know they like already, or are likely to like. In a sunny spot perhaps, but somewhere near you. Cats want to be in the same room as us, if not right next to us or on our laps. I saw one reviewer say that now her cat lies next to her on the couch since she got the pad. You can always put a pillow case or one of your old shirts on top of it — or wrapped around it — if your cat is fussy about textures and just doesn’t like the top fabric. Also try sprinkling a little catnip on it.Lots of comments in the reviews about it not being thick. It’s a mat, not a bed. You can put it ON a bed if you like but this is not meant to be thick like that, though admittedly they do use the word “bed” in the heading for the listing before they call it a pad.The mat does not heat up. How it works: the bottom of the cover blocks cold, the bottom layer inside reflects the pet’s body heat, the next layer up insulates, and then there’s the top cover, which is the part they lie on and is a beautiful, soft sherpa. It uses the cat’s own body heat to create the warmth. I have one of these I bought years ago that plugs in and even it doesn’t actually heat up but also uses the cat’s body heat & weight (it needs some weight, I guess, for all the layers to work together.)I am impressed. I wasn’t sure if it would flop because I was skeptical that it would stay warm as it says it does, but it works!

The mat reflects heat back from my cat’s body really well. There is a layer of batting and reflective material inside sewn together as one piece that can be removed for washing the cover. The other benefit is that you can add another layer of batting inside the mat. I made an extra layer, a crochet layer using yarn, thick yarn, to give the mat a little extra stability and even more comfort. It also makes it easier for my cat to crawl on and lie on if the mat is placed on a soft or uneven surface. I did this because she’s using the mat on top of her cat bed. The size is absolutely perfect for a cat. In the past I’ve paid more than double the price of this one for a far inferior product. This mat is much better than other mats I’ve bought in the past. This mat will make my cat’s arthritis so much easier to deal with and help keep any chill out of her bones. She’s already completely asleep on it. Being an older cat, 14 which is the max for her breed, this matters perfect for what I needed to keep her bones from hurting so much as well as to keep the chill out. She likes to lay in the bay window but living In Canada’s far north that can be quite cold for half the year. With this match she’s perfectly comfortable even in the window. I’m so happy with it that I am purchasing a second one right now for my other cat who is not much younger.

Seems like a good mat , soft and warm

I got this for my Queen Esther and praise the Most High she absolutely loves it! She was a little skeptical of it at first and ignored it, but now I literally find her sleeping or playing on it all the time lol Definitely a good purchase for my little Esther. The mat is pretty well made, material is soft and warm. Removable and washable zipper cover is a huge plus! The mat is advertised as non slip, but it’s super light and still easily slides around all over my tile floor so I would suggest reinforcing it with some additional non-slip options for the bottom of it.

I may have to return this item. Is it soft? Yes, it is. Does it actually feel warming? It sure does. Why would I return it, you ask? Well, it’s been in my home for 5 nights and for 5 nights my cat hasn’t once come and cuddled with me. He spends all night on his new bed (which is more like a pad as per other reviews) and doesn’t get off until it’s time for breakfast. This has been wildly inconvenient for me as I ask him for very little. I just want him to come snuggle.Your cat (or dog) will be very happy but it comes at price. Consider yourself warned.
