Definitely buy this launcher, but DON”T USE THE BALLS!!
Unless you really need a shorter gun, get the long one. My dog loves this launcher. The sound of cocking it and firing it really sets him off. The first one I had failed, probably because it was left outside and the elements degraded the rubber band. I would have replaced the band, but couldn’t find a way to remove the front plastic part on the barrel without destroying it. It doesn’t shoot as far as using a manual thrower or even throwing it by hand, but that hasn’t been a problem. It is hard for small kids to cock it and pull the trigger, which can lead them to cocking it while having it pointed at their face, which obviously should be avoided. The launcher is so much fun for kids that you should cock it yourself, and then help them pull the trigger if necessary. If you use it at the beach, you will need to rinse it out every few minutes to get the sand out.My only complaint with this toy is the low quality balls that come with it. A regular tennis ball lasts quite a while with my Lab, but the seams in the nerf balls are instantly removed and swallowed. The rest of the ball follows soon after, breaking up into easily swallowed pieces. It is a mystery to me why Nerf would spend the money on making these defective and dangerous balls, when the lowest quality tennis balls would have been vastly superior. The fix is easy: throw the supplied balls away as soon as you open the package and get some of the cheapest regular tennis balls that you can find. I rated this launcher five stars because it is pretty perfect aside from the balls.

Broke on the second day
I had one of these awhile back for my previous dog and she loved it and it worked great for a long time. We gave it away when she passed. Now we got a new dog and I ordered this again. It arrived on a Friday afternoon and our new puppy loved it too. We used it a bit on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but on Sunday morning after just a few fires, it quit working. I can load a ball and pull it back, but pulling the trigger only results in a click. The mechanism does not fire. Disappointed that this broke after 2 days. I only used the ball that came with it and it stayed inside when not in use. I have sent Nerf a message about it and hope they can fix it or replace at no cost. So far disappointed, but hoping Nerf customer service comes through.Update: after contacting customer service, they sent me a replacement and it is working great. Upgraded from 1 to 5 stars for great service and now having something that works.

Fetch has never been so fetching
Woof! This is Ava, and Iâm here to tell you about the most paw-some invention ever: the Nerf Dog Tennis Ball Blaster. Let me tell you, this thing has completely changed the gameâliterally.First of all, when my human brought this home, I thought it was a new chew toy for them. But then they loaded it with a tennis ball and whoosh! that ball went flying across the yard faster than a squirrel on caffeine! Iâve never seen anything like it. My humanâs arm must have gotten some serious upgrades because thereâs no way they could throw like that on their own.The best part? The chase. Oh, the glorious chase! I used to have to wait while my human recovered from a few weak throws, but now itâs non-stop action. Iâm sprinting across the yard, tongue flapping in the breeze, living my best doggy life. And when I bring the ball back, my human can just reload and send it flying again. I could do this all day (and trust me, I try). The blaster itself is pretty sturdy, the balls on the other hand split in two after a few bites. If this toy didn’t make me as happy as it does my human wouldn’t buy the replacement balls. Also, the noise it makes when firing? Itâs like the best squeak toy in the world, but for humans. I get excited just hearing it.So, to all my fellow furry fetch enthusiasts, tell your human to get their paws on the Nerf Dog Tennis Ball Blaster. Itâs the most fun you can have with your human without involving the furniture or the cat. Five woofs out of five! Now, if youâll excuse me, Iâve got some more fetching to do.

Awesome Dog Toy
My dog thinks this is the greatest thing ever. Sadly they donât last for more than a year or so but even with that drawback, itâs definitely worth it.

dogs love gun,…..but BEWARE THEY CAN CHOKE WITH THE BALLS, THEY BREAK AFTER THE FIRST DAY
PLEASE DO NOT EVER LEAVE YOUR DOG UNATTENDED WITH THESE BALLS OR ANY BALLS FOR THAT MATTER BUT ESPECIALLY THESE THEY BREAK AFTER THE FIRST HOUR, CHOCKING HAZARD, THE GUN IS GREAT IF YOU ORDER OTHER BALLS THAT ARE HARDER TO TEAR, BUT EVEN THOSE ARE HAZARDS IF UNATTENEDED THEY WILL LAST A WEEK OR TWO BUT NOT THESE BALLS THAT COME WITH GUN.

Our Favorite Dog Toy!
My 2 year old Australian Labradoodle mini adores this toy! We must play with it, weather permitting, at least once a day. I launch the ball 25 times and he fetches and brings it to me immediately. Often he catches the ball in the air. I shoot at an upward angle so the ball doesn’t go over our fence. We’ve used it with no problems for 2 1/2 months. It’s a sturdy plastic but I’m sure it will need to be replaced eventually. We will! Both of us love to play with the Nerf Dog Tennis Ball Blaster. I cannot throw very many balls without this device, because of shoulder pain. Eventually I change to a clean tennis ball, but I don’t event have to touch the dirty balls as the Ball Blaster picks up the balls for me. What a clever toy! I don’t recommend using inside because the blast is pretty significant. It’s meant for outside play. I highly recommend it!

Great launcher
Dog loves this thing. She knows by the sound of pulling back the side to arm it the ball is going to come out so starts running before I pull the trigger. Just wish they lasted longer.

My dog and my husband love this thing lol. I have a large dog German Sheppard and she enjoys it but I think it would be better for a smaller dog because of the distance it goes. Maybe 35-40′

My dog love it!!!Every time she sees it she run outside to play. Itâs also nice for us cause if your dog drool a lot you donât have to pick up the ball with your hands and also itâs a gun so itâs so much more fun to launch. Also, for me who doesnât throw very far itâs perfect cause I can launch it farther and my dog like it.

This didnât last us long. And pull level got stuck and would no longer shoot. It also makes a loud noise which can be scary for some dogs. Looks fun for the user though!!! Hopefully it works for other better.
