Iâve researched every mattress topper that Amazon sells and read almost every review and couldnât be happier with our selection of this 3â extra firm mattress topper!We have a 14â all foam mattress that is of excellent quality. The mattress is between a the medium firm and a firm and leans more to the firm side I started waking up with some hip pain. I also use a very firm knee pillow. At Costco saw a Tempur-Pedic soft mattress topper and used it for 5 months before returning to Costco because the foam developed deep cracks in it. My entire body hurt so bad every morning upon waking up because that topper was way too soft.You need a true firm mattress or topper to get the proper body support. I weigh 150 lbs. and my wife weighs 105 lbs. This extra firm topper is perfect for our body sizes. Extra firm is a misnomer as itâs a true firm topper. Itâs not squishy soft though you can pinch the foam between two fingers, but when you lie on it you really feel the firmness while it molds to your body. Itâs firm and supportive and your body fits perfectly on this topper while feeling the support this topper provides. Granted, we have a good mattress as a base with no sags or indentations.It needs to de-gas for 3-4 days and during that time the topper firms up quite a bit. The gassed released is not offensive but it is chemicals you are smelling and probably shouldnât be breathing them 8 hours every night for the first 3-4 days.We have a queen topper and it is tad wider on the sides than our queen mattress, but thatâs a plus as the topper provides excellent edge support while lying or sitting on the edge of the bed. I like that itâs a tad oversized on the sides only.I would have preferred the 4â topper so that the support lasts longer over time, but needed to make sure our deep pocket waterproof mattress cover and sheets fit over our 14â mattress and the 3â mattress topper securely.I would purchase this topper again in a heartbeat and Iâm really picky. We have another queen mattress in the house with a 12â depth and would get the 4â topper because I know it will fit nicely with our deep pocket mattress cover and sheets.I cannot wait to go to sleep at night as I know I wonât move at all and itâll feel so comfortable and supportive. I get up once during the night for the bathroom and fall back to sleep immediately upon returning to bed.I wake up in the morning feeling more refreshed and much, MUCH less body aches and I know that attributes to the support of this mattress topper.Get this topper and you will not regret it and youâll thank me for a truly honest opinion and as a verifiable buyer who doesnât get paid for reviews. Best Mattress Topper Purchase Ever
Not all memory foam is the same. With this I could not be happier. I spent 2 weeks researching, reading reviews & separating what I decided were the bs claims, (& they were many) from what believed to be honest descriptions.I needed an extra firm topper to top my hard as a board convertible sofabed. Hard as if you were almost placing this on the floor. Memory foam is difficult to choose. Most are too soft & have no support or rebound, you just sink in.This 4 inch dual layer has wonderful honest extra firm support. Iâm 230 lbs & I donât just sink in. Itâs been just a few days but my low back pain is nearly gone. They have a video on this one where a model in closeup actually presses her hand firmly into it & you see the firmness & minimal deflection. The mattress rebounds the moment the pressure is released. That sold me that the claims were true. The quality is extremely high, itâs soft & extremely comfortable to the body but has very good support. The goldilocks of toppers, just right. They have a 3 inch version but I chose the 4 inch because I was topping a very hard cushion that had blown & offered no support.Iâm astonished at the value for the money. The cover is well made soft & strong & the straps to attach to your mattress are high quality wide & adjustable.The two layers of the topper work perfectly together. Top layer is soft but not the âstandardâ cheap memory foam that sinks too deep & doesnât recover. The bottom layer is firmer but still has great âgiveâ.The design is in my opinion, brilliant.The instructions say to let it expand for 48 to 72 hours but mine was usable the first night & by the the 2nd was fully expanded & firm. There was no smell at all. Yay.Be SUPER-CAREFUL cutting the outer plastic. The topper is rolled & very compressed in its box & cutting into the mattress when opening is a danger. Do NOT use a knife. Use scissors. The topper then unrolls & thereâs a second plastic which covers the actual mattress, which should also be very carefully cut. Take your time. Because of the extreme compression thereâs very little room to work.I couldnât be happier with the quality & the value.

Comfortable but Hangs over the sides
Comfort Level: Perfect! Itâs the right amount of firmness for me (4in, extra firm). My back feels better and I sleep much better!Size Issue: I have one of these toppers in a full size and the topper is larger than the bed itself. Because it is against a wall of the bedroom, itâs tolerable. Because I love the comfort level, bought a second one for a twin bed in guest room. That bed doesnât go against a wall and itâs just a terrible fit. It hangs off the side and you feel like you will fall off. I wish I could make it a few inches less in width.I donât understand why the company doesnât make these in sizes that correspond with beds currently being sold in stores.

Just what we needed!
I have a memory foam California King size mattress. Initially, it was comfortable and had decent support, but as time passed, it lost all the support and started to sink. Now and then, I would wake up to my hips hurting, mainly because I’m a side sleeper, and my husband would have intense lower back pain. I decided to get this topper, even though it’s not the size of my mattress (I got a king-size), and it worked perfectly. Since we got it, my hips don’t hurt anymore, and my husband’s lower back finally had some rest. For him, it took 2 or 3 nights to get total relief.According to the manufacturer, we’re supposed to wait a few days to use it. Ours puffed up completely after 8 hours. There’s no chemical smell or any smell whatsoever. The straps hold it firmly to the mattress, and the topper only slides slightly, possibly due to size differences.I am more than happy with my purchase. If you have a memory foam mattress starting to sink, don’t wait until you’re in pain; get this topper now.
