So far so good
So far we are liking these shoes. Now that my dog uses a wheelchair he needs protection to keep his back feet from scuffing and these little shoes have done the trick. We bought a different brand that are super durable but they ended up being too clunky and had a really thick sole which caused him to skid alot because he couldn’t feel the ground.These shoes are lightweight and have a flexible sole, they also have protection on top yet seem breathable. I’m not sure if they are meant to be waterproof but that’s not what we’re interested in. I really like that the top of the shoes are wide and easy to get his feet into with his other shoes I really had to jam his feet in. The design is also cool and match his wheels!Since my dog only wears shoes on his back feet we have 2 extra which is great because I’m sure at some point he’ll wear these out.He goes for 3 walks a day and our terrain is sand or pavement so these shoes will get a work out, it will be interesting to see how long they last. They only thing that I’m concerned about are the seems inside and whether they will chafe his feet, only time will tell.

Waterproof?
One of the claims of these boots is that they are waterproof. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with that claim. This set of XL boots is the second set that I bought for my dog. I thought the L ones were great, he seemed to like them. I got these to protect his feet, as he is a service dog in training and pavement can burn a dog’s paws very quickly. We went out after it had rained to run an errand. He stepped in a small puddle. No real splash. The back and foot part of the boots got wet. I figured it wasn’t a big deal since they claim to be waterproof. How is my dog’s feet getting wet waterproof? How is needing to dry the boots for 2 days waterproof? How is the reflective strip on the elastic band coming off waterproof? These aren’t water proof. They are water resistant and only on the bottom where the rubber is. I literally had these new ones for 2 days before they got wet and damaged.

Great shoes for what I needed
I ordered these for my dog after she injured one of her toes and wouldn’t stop grooming it. Her toe was sensitive to the touch, but I was surprised that these shoes were super easy to slip over the toe part and were very stretchy to accommodate many paw sizes. The Velcro strips used to fasten the shoe work wonderful and prevented my dog from ripping it off her foot. The booties also come with a nice reflective material on all 4 paws for easy night time walking The only issue that I saw with these shoes are that if the top gets a large amount of water on it (constant dog-licking), or if the shoe is fully submerged (puddle, etc) it soaks through to the dog’s paws. Overall I loved these shoes because it allowed me to leave my dog unsupervised without worry of her hurting her toe more than it already was.

Not safe
I really wanted to love these but I just can’t. Yes they are affordable but didn’t work for my dog. In our area there’s a lot of debris and broken glass so I needed something to protect my dogs paws from injury. They didn’t stay on when we went out, they would slip off and slowly turn around (the bottom part would slip and move to the top). They definitely aren’t for active dogs to add on to that.We go to the park 2-3 times a day and during it, my dogs dew paw would slip / poke out and make him uncomfortable & recently the shoes started to rub him raw. He ended up getting a bacterial infection (I always wash his paws when we get home & wash his shoes btw) from the constant friction and dirt from when his dew paw would slip out of the shoe and needed to go to the vet.I wouldn’t recommend this shoe. Now I need to research new ones and continue to do paw soaks & keep him on medication from his vet.
