Who said you couldnât teach an old dog new tricks? I picked this up to help me try to retrain my four year old Aussie doodle. My dog was half trained. He would be able to sit and stay. But when we were out, he would bark at other dogs and he was not able to be off leash. This gem of a book taught me an easy to follow steps how to click or train my dog so that he no longer barks when we are out in public. I highly recommend this book for old and new dog owners alike!

This books covers quite a lot of ground with regards to clicker training. It’s a bit new for me as I’ve never used this method with our golden retriever. The book is clear and progressive in its approach, and the author does take the time to explain all the considerations involved. That being said, it was definitely not just 10 minutes a day for me, especially at the start. It took a bit more work to get our pup to get used to what we were doing. Still a very good book for anyone looking to learn the basics. Recommended.

This book is an absolute gem !! It goes into what click training is, what you need, conditioning and commands. It also has a section discussing behavioral issues such as separation anxiety, barking and biting. I just got a puppy a week ago and will begin training. The author is very knowledgable on this topic and I can’t wait to start the training.
