Fell apart in a few weeks
One star. This is broken now in pieces less than a month after assembly.The posts are sturdy cardboard tubes wrapped with twine (fine), however they are *barely* glued onto black plastic bases that you screw down to the flat base. Only three tiny dabs of glue. Within a week or so, the glue began failing and the tallest post would wobble and teeter precariously.It probably didnât help that the base was too tiny and lightweight to support both itself and one five month old kitten without toppling over frequently.The kitty also chewed off the ball string. I know that can happen, but it is disappointing that it happened so quickly. Mainly, though, the post breaking apart is unacceptable. This wasnât well constructed.âââââ Original review: ââââââ-My nine year old assembled this, with assistance from mom and the kitties. The kittiesâ method of âhelpingâ was to steal and hide one of the two ball-on-spring pieces. Itâs probably under a bed or the couch right now. Lol!Tip: Be careful about the center of gravity when you are attaching the top platform. It should be angled inward, so that the cat sits directly above the base. If it is angled outward, a cat can accidentally tip the whole thing over.Also, when we attached the top platform the first time, we ended up with the screw poking up half an inch, raising the fabric piece. I undid and reassembled that so that the screw was deeper into the base piece and had less to poke up and through. Itâs possible to keep that screw mostly flush, but easy to make the same mistake we did if youâre not careful. Ideally, this should have had an attachment method that didnât have this possibility to begin with.The ball-on-spring was a bit challenging to attach and required more patience to line it up.The âanti-slipâ sticker pieces work when it is on carpet, but donât prevent sliding on tile. They at least raise the base higher than the screws on the underside to prevent scraping, but didnât provide much friction on a tile floor.It could have a few improvements, but the kitties love it!

Great For Kitties That Love To Scratch
Scratching is an important thing for cats to do. It keeps their claws healthy, sharp, and clean. Plus, their instincts are to scratch. My spouse and I have found that if we provide things for the cats to scratch, then they will keep their claws off things that we do not want them to scratch like the couches, the backs of the kitchen chairs, or the carpeting. Our cats love scratching posts wrapped tightly with sisal. This Pbhepj scratching post is really a great addition to the house. The base is pretty sturdy covered with plushness, and supports the 3 individual scratching towers with no issue. The towers are 3 different heights. One is 13 inches tall, one is 24 inches, and one is 36 inches.We have different sized cats from small rescues to 2 purebred Maine Coons that are pretty tall, so the assortment of heights of these scratching posts is perfect for us. Each cat can stretch and scratch as much as they want on any of the 3 posts without any issue. So far these posts have held up well, and the sisal is hanging on very nicely. I do anticipate having to rewrap the posts at some point, which is simple enough to do. Assembly of this unit is quick and easy and only took me about 8 minutes I believe.
