I bought packages of these totalling 4 whistles. One of the whistles didn’t work because the slit had rubbish material left on it. I need a nail to removed the leftover so it would work.All in all the screw settings are very lose, The quality assurance is poor, (most likely these go untested) and they aren’t ultrasonic. On the highest frequency setting they sound like loud highly audible whistles.

As a whole the buy was probably worth it. I hadn’t expecting there to be two whistles in the mail, which was nice. Unfortunately, the whistles don’t actually go ultrasonic. They also are able to screw off of their ring, so I can’t even put one on my keychain. The redeeming factor is that for what I payed, I definitely got what it was worth since they were so cheap to buy.

SATISFACTORY WHISTLE.
I USE THESE EVERY DAY BUT YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL THEY DONT COME UNSCREWED. I’VE LOST THEM PROBABLY A 1/2 DOZEN TIMES BUT HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THEM. THEY DO THE TRICK WITH THE DOGS THOUGH.

This actually whistles like a regular whistle. I understood a dog whistle to be at a frequency that humans can’t really hear. This don’t work.

If you want a dog whistle…keep looking.
Not an Ultrasonic whistle. Even at its highest setting it is still just loud and clearly audible. Sure it gets a dogs attention, but that is really only due to the volume not the pitch. I have a true “dog whistle” and it is completely inaudible to most humans but dogs clearly react to it. I thought these would be nice as extras but they are just metal whistles nothing more. Additionally, they are poorly constructed. The treading is marginal at best and there are spots of excess material remaining from the manufacturing process. Obviously there was no pride taken in their manufacture and these are at best a novelty. Keeping them only because our kid likes to play with them.
