So I’m always looking for new ways to keep my big guy, my service dog, engaged and having fun! He thrives on working, learning new stuff, doing anything that mama tells him he’s a good boy… and he works so hard for me all the time! So I wanted to give him something knew I know he’ll have fun with, so I’m putting together an agility/training course. It just gives me a new angle to be able to work/do training/engage his mind that’s not the same old same old obedience stuff, spice things up with some variety.This is a great quality well made hurdle. I love it when things are so well executed from the design concept! Weighing in at 18.73 Lbs it’s sturdy but light weight enough to be able to move. I’ll be liberally using a good quality wood sealer on this to protect it before subjecting it to the weather. This goes together quickly and easily.This would be a lot of fun to set up an entire course of obstacles/items in a fenced in tard, have a group of friends bring their dogs over and everybody take turns on the course! It’s an awesome activity to work as a team with your dog, building confidence, improving obedience, engage their minds, it’s great exercise… Even better if somebody has a big open indoor area/building, can do it no matter what the weather.This company/brand has many other items and if they’re on par with this item, I’ll gladly snap them up anytime I have them on offer to me!Regular price $ 99.99 per the listing and there’s a $15.00 off coupon! Great agility hurdle!
You will have to assemble this hurdle, which was easy to manage myself with a little encouragement from my dog. I used a drill instead of a screwdriver and you will need a rubber mallet also. A few of the screws went in deeper than others, but it doesn’t seem to effect the structure or it’s durability. As soon as I opened the box I could smell a pine scent. It was quite strong, stronger than you could get from just pine wood. The smell seems to be from some kind of coating, maybe. It has almost a pinesol scent. It isn’t unpleasant just strong. After airing the wood out for a few days it no longer smells strong like it did. I did not start training my dog until the smell had dissipated. I didn’t want the odor to interfere in anyway with training. The height seems perfect. My dog stands 27″ at his withers and was able to clear this jump at all levels. Training will take time if your dog is new to agility jumps. In that case start at the lowest level and work your way up over time. The top bar will fall easily if your dog faults and hits the bar, to help prevent injury. I wouldn’t leave this outside to weather, unless you coat it with a weather sealer, like a clear coat. I’ve just been moving it back indoors when we’re finished training. It’s very sturdy but not too heavy. I like the braces and brackets that come with this to help with it’s structural integrity. The bars are easy to add and remove. All in all I’m very pleased with this hurdle. It’s seems to be of good value and quality.

I got this for my dog to practice jumping. It is just for fun and exercise for her. She’s a working line German Shepherd and about 60 pounds. She can jump over the highest bar. The bars are easy to put on and take off. I think it’s durable, but I don’t know for sure because we just started using it. The size is good for my dog. We haven’t had a problem using it. I think it’s a good price if it lasts. It wasn’t hard to put together, but I put things together all the time. It’s light enough to easily move around my yard. I don’t think it was meant to be portable, so it probably wouldn’t be the best if you need to take it to a park or other place.If your dog hits the bar on the way over, the bar is unlikely to fall out. I don’t think the whole thing will fall over, and maybe that could cause a problem for some dogs. That might be something to consider if your dog can’t clear the bars very well. My dog can clear all 3 bars very easily, but I’d keep the bar on a lower setting if she couldn’t.

Great quality!
This jump is sturdy and stable. The solid wood pieces give it some heft so it won’t be knocked over easily. I train my dogs for competitive obedience and this is a great addition to my training equipment.
