*edit* 11/25/24After trying Tickless ultrasonic tick and flea repellent (worked really well for a few months, then I began noticing a ton of ticks on her), natural sprays, collars etc.I ended up having to go the non natural route and get a oral vet prescription for tick/flea treatment.I kept finding ticks on her even with all the natural “solutions.” Maybe someday a more natural solution will work, but those ticks are menaces.—————-Hi!For about 1.5 months we’ve used this in comination with this brands flea and tick 30-day drops.We wanted a safer and healthier flea/tick option for our family.It works so well! We have a homestead in Michigan and have only found 1 (unattached) tick on her since using this.I am curious if this color will last for the full 6 months, I’ll plan to replace at month 4. I will update the post if anything peculiar happens.

Update: I originally gave this 3 stars but it has dwindled to one star. You can read my previous review to know why. The collar was no longer working. Packaging claims 6 months but it only worked for one. This week alone Iâve had to give my dogs cap star oral flea treatment to help combat what the collar was supposed to do and is no longer doing._____________________________________So, this product is great but not â6 monthsâ great, which is why I give it 3 stars. I purchased two of these collars on April 20, 2020 for both of my dogs and it has been a full month and I believe the effectiveness is beginning to dissipate. Why am I saying this? A little over a week ago my dogs began scratching again after having not scratched for weeks… to the point that theyâre annoyed and Iâm annoyed. My pug has flea dermatitis so when he gets bit heâll chew the area raw… I usually have to give him Benedryl and treat the area. I took a flea comb to them and found a couple fleas. I was even doing my workout and while I was on the floor, my dog was next to me, a flea jumped on my arm and I was mad… Iâm pretty finicky about bugs, I have the house treated and always kept tidy to avoid any kind of pests that may want to take up residence in the house or mess with my dogs. I read great things about this collar but itâs truly a disappointment that something that claims to last 6 months only proved effective for one. As for it being âwaterproofâ, I have no idea… my dogs hate getting wet. Iâll give this another week to decide if I want to request a refund… it has been pretty dry here and I know that can sometimes play a factor with fleas in the area.

This collar is very dog friendly. I have 7 dogs and all of them are wearing it. Usually they scratch their neck even with the regular collar, but this flea collar does not bother them at all. I am very happy for that reason and also it smells really good when you rub it with your hand. It is all natural and that was important to me. I bought this product a few months back and after several months had to replace it on dogs, so I bought it again. No fleas, no irritation of any kind on dogs and pleasant aroma (only when rubbed, not at all in every day wear). I don’t see any negatives at all and will highly recommend to all dog/cat lovers. No side effects of any kind, easy to put on and dogs don’t mind wearing them. Price is also very acceptable and fair.

Box came severely damaged and opened
This review is primarily on how I received the item. The box it came in was damaged and opened. I’m not sure on how well the actual product is – my dog will be visiting a wooded area and if she doesn’t get ticks, I will update and rate it with a good review.Edit: I updated to 4 stars. The product seemed to work and there was no ticks on my dog. When I first put the collar on my dog, she did not like the smell and had a spaz attack for a while trying to get the collar off. After a couple hours I think the smell went down and she was ok.

Good product for a fair price
First off i want to say i normally donât use flea collars as my main protection but was looking for extra protection against ticks when out. Iâd had a few on me and it is extremely difficult to see them on my husky malamute mix.I decided to try this and so far i haven not seen any on her. It comes with easy instructions although most of it is self explanatory. I cut the tabs with a pair of scissors to separate it as pictured, then waited a at least a half an hour to wash my hands to check if i had any negative reaction to being in contact with it. Once i was comfortable i didnât i places it on my dog. It is fairly thin witch made it easier to fit through her very thick coat. The band was also fairly easy to tighten to an appropriate length before cutting the extra length off. If you have a dog that will not sit still Iâd suggest measuring it, marking the length and not cutting while on your dog. It cut easily with kitchen sisccors . I had ordered a Medium as sheâs only a year and 65lb so it works size wise with a lot of extra room, im sure i couldâve went with a large as well but Iâm only using this as an extra protection along w my normal monthly flea/tick/worm medication. There was a little bit of dust on my fingers after opening but not a lot compared to others Iâve used over the years. I could smell a slight order when opening the silver package containing the collar but no smell after a few minutes or any smell while my dog was wearing it. It could be the plastic I had been smelling witch is why i have it 5 yard it was not unpleasant and didnât linger. I can not attest to its water proof wear as its winter so we havenât tested that aspect but there is snow out and she has been in the rain with any issues witch is why i am rating that at 5 stars as well.It doesnât seem to be bothering her after a few days and this is the first time i have used or worn any flea collars with this particular dog. All in all Iâm pretty happy with the product and i believe that itâs a fairly good price for what youâre getting. I think this compares well with higher priced products weâve used with past dogs when ticks or fleas have been bad. I would recommend giving it a try if your In the market for a collar over drop or oral flea and tick medication
