Works well for my overactive puppy.
I have an 8 month old pidoodle (pitbull/poodle mix). She weighs abt 45 pounds. Bc I have a bad back, she became impossible for me to handle due to aggressive pulling. And training is still slow. I tried a prong collar, but it became embedded into her neck. It got to the point where I couldnât walk her at all bc she would pull so badly and twist me all around and cause great pain in my back. My neighbor recommended this⦠and it has been a blessing. She does not pull and I can even walk with some slack in the leash! It does NOT stop her from barking – but the pulling is virtually none. I purchased another bc she ate the first one! SMH. Her name is Drama for a reason! LOL!ð

Dangerous due to cheap plastic retaining clip
This is what I wrote to seller:I purchased a head halter, size XL, for my flat coat retriever, through your Amazon shop.On the 3rd walk with him wearing it, the plastic clip on the underlying strap below his chin broke. The two pieces just separated. He had pulled and I had gently corrected him into a new direction. When he resisted slightly, i noticed a sudden looseness on the harness, which caused him to somehow get his lower jaw trapped in the harness. Luckily I was in my yard and quickly walked him in and removed it.Expecting two plastic nubs to hold two plastic clip pieces together in an XL dog halter is ridiculous. I would suggest these two plastic bumpouts be replaced with an actual inserted metal bar.The clip doesn’t lock in position as well. So I have added scotch tape to keep it closed. I had to go search in my yard for 1/2 of the plastic clip to ensure my dog didn’t swallow it. That is the only reason I got it back together. Please correct this dangerous design flaw.Unless you have a halter with a more secure clip I will be requesting a full refund. It was implied I tightened the harness around my dog’s snout too tight or didn’t correct size. I double checked my measurements. The size was correct and my dog could drink, easily pant, lick, bark and play. Definitely not too tight. They wanted to send me a dog headband instead of a refund.NOT a good design, NOT good customer response.

Small fit
Measured my dog but it didnât match up with the description so it didnât fit. It was too small to use but the set up was simple enough for us to try. It wasnât too thickness wasnât too bad but I really liked the bright color. Since it was too small she wasnât comfortable in it so I will be returning for a bigger size.

Hard to get used to
It took a while to figure out how to use this one – the instructions are not the best and I am sure there are better “leads” out there. My dog still hates this thing, but it makes it so much easier to walk him – he is a puller and with this, I control him not the other way around. If you have a dog who pulls you on the walk – get a gentle leader and use it – your body will thank you for it…even if your dog doesn’t. LOL

Game changer!
I am a professional dog walker, and have recently added 4 of these âgentle leadersâ to the strongest âpullersâ in the pack! In each case the ease of handling has improved, instantly and immeasurably.Bye bye choke chains and prong collars, The pack is all in on this product! Will admit that two of the four dogs are still occasionally attempting to remove the âleaderâ 3 weeks later, but their struggles are getting less each time, as they come to accept it. The other two immediately took to it and their behavior on the leash instantly changed, and all four are now a pleasure to walk! This product is a game changer for sure! You might see this same review written for similar products as I have recently bought four of them and did not realize they were from different companies. The only difference this one has is the extra âsecurity strap that attaches to the collar. Even when the dog has managed to remove the âsnoutâ part the rest of the collar still stays in place, so this is a bit of overkill on my opinion, but I do use it for one dog that is muzzled, just for the added peace of mind.

Well-made, however….
The “Medium” barely fits my mini-Aussie. Next time I’ll order XL for my standard Aussie.

The best product I’ve ever used for a dog who pulls hard. I have a 70lbs American Bull/Sheppard. He’s extremely reactive to everything that moves. I’ve used many products, and this gentle lead is a game changer! My dog went from, dragging me around my neighborhood on our walks, to loose leash walking. No word of a lie!The gentle lead fits perfectly, with reinforced sides, a slide lock for under the muzzle, and cushion around the muzzle, for my dogs comfort. This does not fit around the neck! It doesn’t cut into his throat, and fits just under the jawline. He is able to eat and drink wearing the gentle lead. Redirecting is so much easier. Walked up on a friendly cat this morning, and ofcourse my dog freaked out, but with a few steps, we were back on track with ease. Not to mention I stayed on my feet. How bout that? :)One thing I ask, before using any product, is to do your research! Not every dog is the same. Look up videos on how to use this gentle lead. It works when you know how to use it.Let me tell you, you’re going to love, taking your pup out for walks, when you purchase the Gentle Lead.

I was really hoping the BARKLESS Dog Head Collar would help with my dog’s pulling, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The fit was awkward and didnât seem to adjust properly, causing it to rub against my dogâs face uncomfortably. My dog hated wearing it and was reluctant to walk, which defeats the purpose of a training tool. Additionally, it didnât provide any controlâmy dog was still pulling as if it wasn’t even on! Iâve tried several head collars, and this one is by far the least effective. I wouldnât recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable solution.

The headcollar is nice and I like the safety link to attach to regular collar with tags.Unfortunately, I unable to use it because it is too big around the head. The issue is that the website chart guide is incorrect. There was a chart guide included with the product package which differs from the website.I wanted to give people a heads up before ordering the item.Hopefully, the website product description will be updated to include the correct chart guide.
