    Obsessed
Our pup is obsessed with this!! We play it twice a day for about 20 minutes at time or we go outside to play. Chasing and retrieving is life for our doodle. I found that when using tennis balls they get wet and don’t go as far so we have about 40 tennis balls and use each ball twice before moving on to the next one. The other thing is that many have stated it quit working after a bit. That happened to us. After two a day play time for two weeks ours started to get loud and slow down, to the point that the balls shooting out would bounce out about 2-3 feet away. Then it just stopped working. So I was going to throw it away and buy a new one. Like I said our dogs obsessed. Once I saw again how much I paid for it, I was not about to do that. So my son in law took it apart and found the two motors had collected all this dark hard melted plastic (tennis ball fuzz) and some un-melted tennis ball fluff that had been collected from all the tennis balls. Which explained the EXTRA long fuzz on the actual tennis balls as well. Had to use pliers and tweezers to get it out, wiped it clean, put it back together and it works like new. We are now using smooth plastic, rubber or foam like tennis balls and let me tell you no issues but they fly even further and we just need to wipe them down with a towel after each use or they don’t go far.

    I have one disappointed puppy
With an active Aussie, I thought it would be worth looking at. This did not launch either ball more than 15 to 20 feet. Many times the rubber ball would get stuck at the top of the launcher and had to be pushed in to continue the launch. It is also incredibly loud. The higher you turn the power, the louder it gets. There is supposed to be a button to turn the warning signal on and off. My dog doesn’t need it, but it doesn’t work all the same. The idea is great in concept, but it just doesn’t work as advertised. Maybe I got a bad one? But I am retuning mine anyway.

    Gravy loved this machine
Our dog Gravy will drop dead playing fetch if you let him. We’ve had a ball launcher for him since he was 6 months old. He’s 5 now. The previous launcher was replaced 5 times, the plastic parts kept breaking. At the cost of 169.00 I wasn’t buying another after they refused to replace it anymore. Hey, cheap product parts are not my fault. Thought we’d try this launcher and so far, about 4 months, no problems. Only complaints, it doesn’t have a time out timer, which really works great on a dog who loves to run. So I have to set a timer to remind me to turn off his machine if I get busy and can’t constantly watch him. The other complaint, it doesn’t really launch the ball as far as advertised. We’ve tried a variety of balls And the furthest distance we get (on occasion) is about 25 feet. But, all in all, Gravy is happy, therefore I am too.

mediocre, not quite what was expected
I do like how it was accurate about the distance of the ball launch launcher. It is very loud and gets louder the more you turn up the dial. The spiky ball sometimes gets stuck in the blue cup on the little crevices. I am worried about dirt and saliva buildup with it not being easy to clean. The noise alert that you’re supposed to be able to turn on does not work when it’s supposed to. Sometimes the ball catches in the mechanism and you have to push it through. If this item had been not on sale, I wouldn’t have got it or I would’ve returned it for what it is listed as.REVISEDthe spiky ball was destroyed after 2 days, and the tennis ball will not go farther than 5 feet, i’ve tried chuck it balls and it doesn’t go any more than that either, i honestly can’t see a use for it after only a week of having it

Holy cow this is a game changer!
My 7 month old Lab puppy LOVES this, my Golden could care less lol. Machine is a bit loud, kind of sounds like a small plane landing. We use this outside and then bring in to shoot down the hall while we are watching tv at night. She did put the ball in a few times on her own but is still learning how to do this. This truly is amazing, she gets so happy when we pull it out, sure beats throwing the ball 300 times a day. I recommend having additional tennis balls ready to go, when they get wet they don’t shoot as far. We just use a rotation of about 20 different tennis balls, they are all store bought standard size. It does shoot pretty far but if it’s not change the tennis ball to a drier ball and put it at a higher speed on the side. First time using this I shot a ball down the hall and it was like a pinball hitting the ceiling and each door pretty hard, Leia loved it but boy was it loud. The spiky ball they send is super hard so be careful that doesn’t hit you pet in the face. Great product!

    Fun while it lasted.
My dog enjoyed using this item for as long as it lasted. Which was about 5 days. It started making noises, followed by bits of plastic being sheared off, until it ultimately stopped working, save a steady whine of something trying to happen inside. 1/10 would buy again; and the one time in ten was either this time, or some other time I would need to train a dog. She however figured it out well enough in that time to wear out the machine, so…I guess it did it’s job.?.?.? Still wouldn’t buy again. I mean it was over 90 freaking dollars. I can’t believe it gave it two stars for value. I’m an idiot.

I’ve seen a lot of ball throwing machines that were quite a bit cheaper and the reviews weren’t good. Most reviews were it stopped working when the balls got wet and they were more hassle than they were worth. I have two 100+ pound dogs who can get more spit on a ball than you could believe so I had to go with the expensive one. It is made in America which to me means quality. I live in Canada and there was an import fee of almost $28 on top of what I paid. My fingers were crossed it was going to be worth it. Well, my dogs just love it. Spitty balls keep flying out the end and if we didn’t turn it off they would chase the balls forever. It’s easily adjustable up and down for the launch angle and easy to set for distance. I thought the sound was kind of low, but the dogs can obviously hear it because they know when it’s about to launch. Well worth the cost for a solid product. I would definitely recommend it.

I was hoping to give my Lab a work out with this toy, but she doesn’t have to run very far when the balls only go 10 feet. If lucky it would occasionally shoot it 20 feet max. She didn’t want to come close to the launcher due to the noise the motor made, which was fine because you had to monitor the ball drop as they would occasionally get jammed in the launcher and not shoot out. I was disappointed as I was hoping to have a device so my dog could entertain herself when I was busy.

The launcher is a great device but my puppy is terrified of the noise. I tried putting it on a carpet to try to dampen it but it’s the machine itself that is very loud. She’s a really active JRT mix and loves to play ball so I was hoping this would work great for us but she runs and hides as soon as I turn it on.

Throws the ball pretty far. Going to have to train my girl to actually bring the ball back though but works great.

This works like a charm! It’s only a little loud and it does a great job of launching the ball. The only issue is our dog is a bit afraid of it but it’ll be perfect once he warms up to it.
