Sturdy and nicer looking than normal cat furniture
I really really like the natural wood of this scratching post! It looks so much nicer than “normal” sisal on most cat condos/trees. Assembly was really simple, and I didn’t have any missing parts. The base is very heavy and sturdy – I had been concerned that I would need to anchor it in some way, but so far my cats haven’t been able to tip it over while getting on it. The top cushion isn’t super plush, but my cats seem to like it, and the lip does help them not fall off. They don’t use the scratching part (although that’s because they have other scratching posts), but the corded area is wrapped very tight and seems high quality (and could be re-wrapped if needed). All in all, this is a great piece and I would really n recommend it.

Cute and easy but wish it was sturdier
Easy to put together and I love how it looks but it’s a bit wobbly. Be careful when putting the cushion on the top the fabric is a bit fragile and my finger went right through it. All my cats like it so far and we’ll see how it holds up to claws and fur over time

    Our cats new favorite!
Our cats love this and it’s very pretty and stylish to look at as well. We also got the matching cat bed for a complete set and it’s great! The material is pretty thin so this probably isn’t the best for a super-aggressive scratcher, but it’s just fine for the average cat or a kitten. The natural wood makes this look really nice and gives our cat an extra more natural scratching surface aside from the standard rope pole. Not a ton of padding so again not for some cats, but ours don’t seem to care at all and love this scratcher. It’s a nice height to sit next to my work desk so they just sit and watch me work on it all day. Also very pretty.

easy to assemble and super cute
Easy to assemble and super cute once that is done. Picked this up for a foster cat who’s senior citizen mom had passed away unexpectedly. It was his first scratching post and he was very happy with it. He just loves the dangly toy and I put it in front of the window so he could use the top as a perch to look out the window. He is very happy with it. And when the cat is happy, the human is happy. I would recommend this for a home with smaller cats. It is not a large scratching post, but it worked for this little rescue cat. I am happy with it also.

    Wood-a cat’s natural scratching medium
The Fukumaru Cat Scratching Post is already a big hit with my multi-cat household. What drew me to this cat tree was the wood post supporting the bed. Most cat trees are a cheap piece of cardboard tube with some sisal wrapped around that. With my cats the cardboard post type of cat tree doesn’t last long and fairly quickly they’ve clawed down and into the cardboard-essentially wasting the entire cat tree. The Fukumaru cat tree uses a nice chunk of wood as its post and then wraps part of it in sisal. My cats don’t discriminate and enjoy scratching wood as much as cardboard so I’m sure once they realize that they can scratch the post as well, they’ll be all over it. They are, after all, descended from wild cats and their wild cousins don’t use soft sisal to sharpen their claws. Even outside community cats use trees. They use trees to get those claws nice and sharp. This scratcher was easy to put together with the two bolts, a washer, and the hex wrench that came with it. The wood post is clearly marked which end is down. The top bed is a piece of mdf board with a thin layer of material glued on and then the green plush bed is put over that. It is easily removable for washing and very soft.My larger cats have taken this tree over (less than ten pounds though) and although it may seem that this tree is too small for them-they clearly don’t mind it. Some large cats like smaller spaces after all. In the few days that I have had it out it hasn’t toppled over once so I feel that it is sturdy. The ability to easily remove the cat toy and add another due to the hardware hanging under the bed is a thoughtful addition and much nicer than the staples used in other cat trees. I really feel that the company thought this tree out and did a great job with this. I do wish that the bed had a bit more padding but my cats that are sleeping in it don’t seem to mind so I didn’t take off a star for that.

    Unstable
I feel this is unstable and not safe for your cat. We returned it.

    I Think It’s Cool –
Got this because my two male cats had destroyed the apartment complex I had gotten them when they were kittens. Since they no longer cavorted in and out of the nooks and crannies on the old one and used it mainly as a springboard to jump onto their cat feeder, which is on top of the dog kennel, the old eyesore got tossed and I invested in this simple, scratching post mid-point for them to use to jump up. It’s not as tall as I’d wished but it’s very sturdy. The color is hideous, but the cats don’t care. They don’t use it anyway, the ingrates. I’m trying to figure out how to make it into a corner plant stand. The color has got to go, tho.
