Tiny and very effective
I got this because I recently got a similar one and was very impressed. Well, the ads differ slightly, but this unit is IDENTICAL.Unlike the other one, the photo in the ad has this on the right hand pointing finger with the unit in the palm — which is how I hold it. That way, my thumb trivially easily presses the buttons. It’s very natural to hold and operate. The only quirk (shared with the other unit) is that it’s the down button that advances to the next slide using this with LibreOffice on my Linux systems; I expected the up and down button actions to be reversed. The laser pointer button is also in the opposite position from what I expected, but one gets used to these assignments very quickly. I love the way the USB dongle stores in the rubber (fortunately not ABS, as this ad says) ring when not in use. The red laser pointer spot is fairly large, yet very bright, and easily visible on slides shown with typical classroom video projectors. This comes with a lovely little round case, although it’s just going to be thrown in my backpack uncased most of the time — which is fine because it seems quite durable and has a power switch that should keep it off if the buttons are bumped. The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery and charges via USB C; a cable is provided, but not a USB power supply (which is not a problem). Having BlueTooth would be a nice dongle-free option, but pairing BlueTooth with a random presentation computer is less certain than sticking a USB dongle in.OK, this isn’t perfect. However, I’ve been a professor for decades, so I’ve used many of these sorts of things. This is easily the most functional laser pointer/slide controller I’ve used… it deserves 5/5.

Great tool for anyone using PowerPoint!
I’ve used larger remotes for PowerPoint presentations that I had to hold in a hand. This little remote stays on your finger so you have both hands free. I plugged in the USB dongle and started up a presentation, and the remote worked great with no setup required. The directions aren’t very helpful, but by playing around with this for a couple minutes you can figure everything out. You have previous and next slide buttons, of course. If you hold down the next slide button, you get a black screen. That’s a nice feature. I’m not sure what a single click of the Hyperlink button does–it will cycle through any hyperlinks that are on your slide, but it won’t execute them. If you hold the Hyperlink button down, it’s like using “ALT-TAB.” That allows you to switch between open windows without going back to your computer. The built in laser pointer is a great added feature. It also comes with a charging cable and a small protective case. The downside of using a dongle is you could lose the dongle. The upside is you can move this device to any computer with no setup and it works immediately. Overall, I really like it. It’s a great tool for teachers or anyone else using PowerPoint.

Controls and laser pointer work great
I got this as I plan to teach some classes and do presentations, and this is a great tool to assist with that. it’s small, easy to use, and works. The USB receiver fits nicely into a holder in the ring of it. Everything fits perfectly into the little round case it comes with. The device and case are great quality and I don’t see any issues with it.I tested the remote with a PowerPoint presentation and I was easily able to get it to change slides. The laser pointer also works and is easy to control. It turns on easily using the button on the remote. There was no driver to install, just plug in the receiver into a USB port in the computer and turn on the switch on the remote, and it will start working right away. The ring of the remote is comfortable and it overall seems to be a well thought out design. I’m very happy with it – if that changes for any reason, I’ll update my review with the details.

Linux Usage and Disappointment
System: Linux Mint XFCE 21.1This is plug and play ready for Linux. I was expecting to be able to do more with this though. I wanted to remotely control VLC for presentations. Double pressing the Hyperlink/Enter button selects the highlighted object. If you don’t click fast enough it will perform the TAB action instead which moves the selection to another part of the program (the speed can be adjusted in settings). To use image presentations on VLC the way I need, I utilize the ‘Play and Pause’ setting thereby giving me the time I need to explain the image. This wireless presenter works as expected but not with the Play and Pause setting enabled thereby rendering this useless for me. I’ve seen other presenters that work just fine just not this one.Other Functions:1. Holding down the Hyperlink/Enter button opens the program switcher for the system and cycles between the open windows as long as the button is being held.2. In a web browser, the Hyperlink/Enter button functions as a Tab button going between the selectable objects but not all. For example, on an Amazon page I could only Tab between the main Amazon headings at the top of the page. But when using the Tab key on the keyboard I could Tab anywhere on the page to selectable objects. The system Input Device settings show it as a ‘HAS Wireless Present Keyboard.’ With the same settings for mouse configuration.Overall Impressions:This was a disappointment for my use case. With it not working with the Play and Pause feature of VLC, it just doesn’t make sense for me.

The products design is perfect for me. You wear it like a ring and if you’re like me and use your hands to emphasise points this clicker stays with you! I have sent many a clicker airborne as it shot out of my hand and into the audience. It’s functionality is perfect, easy to navigate and operate. The size allows it to fit comfortably in your hand and is hidden from your audience. Good value for money.

Nachdem der erste Pointer nicht wie gewünscht funktionierte, haben wir uns für dieses Modell entschieden.Wie sich herausstellte, ein absoluter Volltreffer. Vor allem, dass er ihn am Finger tragen kann ð

Comodissimo come volta pagina. Pratico e funzionale. Lo consiglio vivamente.

I found the clicker didn’t even work from 2 metres away, wearing it as a ring is very tight too, it would only fit on my little finger. Ok if you’re stood by your laptop delivering a presentation
