Great for Enrichment at Feeding Time
This works great for my younger pup who would quickly gobble her food from a regular bowl and then rush over to my older dog to see if she could get any leftovers. Even without freezing her food, it slows her down significantly. Washes up well on the top rack of the dishwasher. If your dog is prone to chewing silicone, you will need to supervise them.

Didnât last through one day
This totally distracted my dog while we opened Christmas presents. (We usually have to put him in his kennel on Christmas morning). He usually barks like crazy at thunder, but didnât even notice it! But⦠he destroyed the container the first time we used it! He is a very aggressive chewer and I rarely find something he doesnât destroy, so this may work for most people.

It was good while it lasted…
This is just the right size for my dogs who range from 9-16 lbs. I can put a combination of wet and dry food in it. I also froze wet food and peanut butter in it. I use it as a slow feed bowl. Compared to my other lick pots, the swirl on the bottom is more shallow. This really engages my dogs and they’ll lick on it even after the food is gone. The stainless steel wrap is a nice feature but a little sharp on the bottom so be careful. Save for that, this would be a four. Update. Sadly this did not last long. My dog chewed it up. Perhaps the stainless steel should cover the entire exterior or at least the top lid and curve over.

Chewing averted!
If your pup likes the texture of silicone as a chew toy, the metal collar on this lick bowl should help prevent them from tearing it apart!In my case, I like to use silicone bowls with built-in texture to clean watercolor brushes while painting, so this is also excellent for that purpose, and a great size as well! The metal collar also helps stabilize the bowl so it’s less wobbly.
