Great toy for the right cat(s)
I really wanted my cats to like this toy but unfortunately, they’re a little too set in their ways for the fancy new toy their Meowmmy got them (apparently, they’ll only play with the old beat-up toys they’ve had for years). However, the toy is genuinely quality and has an impressive array of bells and whistles for the price. (I mean, if you’re reading this I’m sure you know all too well how expensive even basic cat toys are. “Oh boy, it’s fabric in the shape of a fish AND the catnip is included? Wow!”)I ended up testing it out pretty extensively and the different settings all worked excellently. The coolest thing about the toy for me is when the toy bumps into something, it knows to roll the opposite direction to keep moving. We have a lot of places it could get stuck and I was impressed by how often the toy could find it’s way out of a jam. While the first and second settings are speed-related (Fast and Slow), the third setting is “Interactive”, meaning it chirps and moves around a little bit to get the cat’s attention before going on a kind of “Stand-By” waiting for the cat to bat at it, at which point it will react. The chirps are loud enough to get kitties’ attention but I didn’t find it annoyingly so – even better, you can turn the chirping off and on with just a couple presses of a button (none of that instant regret buying a noise-maker for your cat whose favorite time to play is 4 in the morning). The toy performed well on both wood floors and carpeting, I didn’t notice a difference in speed or maneuverability. And it comes with the cutest little screwdriver for removing any cat hair that might have accumulated/gotten wrapped up in the toy. It also comes with a couple different soft elastic wraps for the ring and fuzzy ball attachments (that are also very cute). It doesn’t require batteries because it actually comes with a cord for charging the toy and the light will indicate when the battery is low. For how versatile the toy is, it’s so simple to operate – powering on, powering off, changing play and chirp settings, all with just one button. So while the toy wasn’t a winner with my cats, they’re well-known for being picky (our living room is a veritable graveyard of all the cat toys that have seen zero attention since the day I brought them home). But I would still recommend it to anybody looking to encourage their kitties to play and especially if you’re trying to get a kitty to exercise – the toy is a lot of fun and it really works it’s butt off for the money haha.

Great play “prey”
(List of pros and cons listed under my ramble.)Not all cats are the same! If your cat isn’t interested in the toy, don’t blame the toy. That’s like down voting a flavor of food because your cat didn’t like it- they have different personalities and tastes! As an example: I have 3 cats. Cat A (domestic) will only lazily glance at the toy. B (former stray) will watch it, and follow when it leaves line of sight. However, B won’t approach when toy is on. Then there is C (stray in process of domestication) who absolutely loves it! He chases, hunts and tosses it around. If I only had cat A this toy would be a flop. However, for cat C this is more than worth it! Being a stray he was, understandably, extremely people shy. We needed a way for him to get more comfortable in his base camp room. So, I pulled out this toy that the other 2 cats didn’t much like. To my surprise C LOVED it! Turned it on, left the room and he came out of hiding. Within a few days he’d come out to play with it while we were in the room. This built trust, and now C is so much more outgoing!PROS:- Different speed settings- Auto shut off- Interactive and will wake back up if cat plays with it- Makes sounds to encourage hunting, but can turn it off- Rechargeable- Decent battery length (10hrs on with often active play)- Can traverse carpet, hardwood and other surface changes- Can wiggle itself out if it goes into a crevice- After going to sleep, toy will wait an hour before signaling its still on with lights/sound. If cat interacts it wakes back up, if not it will go back to sleep.- Easy to clean- Fairly durableCONS:- Humming sound of motor becomes quite loud after active play. (Understandable with how much it smacks into things and gets tossed by the cat, but can be scary for timid cats.)- Toy is loud when running into things (Again, to be expected from a durable toy hitting a hard surface. But may be a turn off for those in a small space who think turning off the volume will equate to a silent toy.)In summary I would suggest this toy for cats with ground-prey instincts. It’s wonderful for exercise in a open floorplan home, even if the cat only follows it around without approaching.

fun toy
I like how this toy is interactive for the cats, without needing a human constantly. I like how it is more than just a ball–the frame (and bunny outfit) around it makes it flip around. The different modes are nice, with the colors to show what mode it’s in: blue–crazy, purple–moderate, and yellow–stays somewhat in place with frequent vibrating motion. It also has an optional chirping sound that is appealing to the cats. However, it gets lost under furniture…when it is still charged, it will “come back to life” every hour, and then you’ll know where it is; but when it is dead, it stays lost, and is hard to find. It needs to be charged every day. –it takes a couple hrs to fully charge.

This thing has become my kittens baby sister. We call her Bunny because of the little outfits. My kitten is absolutely in love! She chases Bunny around for hours, and she loves when Bunny “chases” her back. Her absolute favorite is to sneak up on bunny, so she loves hiding behind doors or furniture and jumping out at it. It does collect a lot of hair from the floors, but it’s sooooo easy to take apart, remove the hair, and put it back together. It takes less than a minute, and comes with a tiny screw driver looking thing to help. And now I have less dust bunnies under the furniture. We just bought a second one, because our first one did die after a month, but we (the humans)had a tendency to toss it into a room like a grenade and watch the kitten go crazy, so it might be our own fault… I hope this one lasts longer, but honestly even one month has been well worth the money. Costs much less than a babysitter, but manages to keep the cat entertained for hours while I get things around the house done. We toss the little outfits in the wash and hang dry and they’re losing some threads, but otherwise fine. BUT we also quickly discovered that you can just use a scrunchie (though it’s a bit noisier). Our kitten has a tendency to eat EVERYTHING so she isn’t allowed to have silicone toys or strings, so this has been absolutely perfect. The ball itself has a silicone layer on the outside, but nothing she can get her mouth around to chew on, which is perfect. We’ve tried other (cheaper) automatic ball toys, but they weren’t interesting to her. This one moves like prey, but also somehow like a sibling, and the design is perfect for being able to get up onto the rug (even thick ones) without getting stuck. The only improvement I would make would be being able to connect it to my phone to a) find it when it runs under a piece of furniture, b) turn it off when I’m in bed and it starts running around, and c) the ability to tell me if it’s stuck. If it had a phone app that I could connect and do those things reliably I would gladly pay $100 for it, but as is I had absolutely no hesitation to re purchase this thing. 10/10 all hail Bunny.

This is such a great toy! Doesn’t get stuck in hard to reach places and always manages to extract itself. The cats all love it, buy it!
