Five Poles
These poles were easy to assemble, but I did have to sweep up the floor when I was done because they came with a lot of plastic shavings. I even ran a damp paper towel down each length to wipe off the bits that static-clinged to the poles. The poles stand well enough on the metal rods shoved into the ground. They’re straight and don’t wobble. The orange part is supposed to be 47 inches, but it’s only 41.75 inches, 46.25 when including the metal rod. My wife says it’s fine since that makes it easier to reach over the poles while leading a dog on a leash.A carrying bag is included. It’s a bit large, but better too big than too small.

This is not a standard 6 pole set
Itâs my fault for not reading the item description carefully. This is a set of 5 weave poles, not 6. If youâre training for agility competition, youâll need at least 2 sets, 3 sets if you want to practice with 12. I took off one star for that. That said, these are decent quality, fit together easily and will work fine to start a beginner dog. Theyâre a lot lighter to lug around than regulation weaves with a metal base, too.

Good beginner set for training
These go together easily and have a storage bag for portability. They aren’t super strong, but you are only supposed to be weaving the dog in and out of them. We did have one section the screw part broke while my husband was pushing it into the ground, so be a little gentler and don’t bend while pushing. I just took the broken part out and attached the top part and it works fine, one is just shorter. I’ll probably just glue it in the future. Otherwise, they work fine and do what they are meant to do.

Functional for Backyard Novelty Play but Low Quality Workmanship
This set of 5 LUBORN Dog Agility Weave Poles comes with a fabric storage bag in which to put everything once you’ve disassembled the sections of the poles. Each pole has 3 sections and a pointed metal spike. The sections are made of PVC pipe. They have black plastic screw connectors which have been inserted into the pipe ends and secured in place by metal screws running through both the PVC pipe as well as the connectors. One problem is that the lengths of pipe appear to have been haphazardly hack-sawed at various imprecise angles instead of at carefully measured and marked 90 degree angles. This causes the assembled weave poles to be not very straight. Also, the plastic screw connector inserts are not affixed to the pipes straight, so their ends are not level in order to screw into the adjacent lengths of pipe…which also attributes to curvatures in the fully assembled weave poles. After assembling the lengths together but before inserting the spikes, I lined up the ends of the poles against a straight edge and chuckled to see that they are not all exactly the same length. If your ground is quite hard, then you will want to be careful and ginger about the amount of force you use to insert the spiked ends of the poles into the ground. They do not have screw threads with which to gradually twist them downward into the soil, therefore you must push straight down on the pvc poles. Despite these challenges, after my initial trial session using the poles with my dogs, I still find them functional for backyard purposes. As long as they hold up through weekly assemblies, disassemblies, insertions into & removals from the ground, that’s all I really need. The dogs had lots of fun in their first weave pole course lesson. The poles weren’t perfectly straight, but they were definitely secure enough into the ground that they weren’t going to get knocked over by my 2 energetic dogs (neither of which are small). We’re going to enjoy working with this new equipment!

Easy to assemble and use
These are very easy to put together and they go a ways into the ground. I am not using them for agility weave poles, so I cannot attest to how well they would stay with a strong, fast dog running through them. I am working on obedience with my dog and we use them for markers to work on heeling and other work. They’re perfect for that. When we’re done I can disassemble and put them in their bag!

So much fun
My daughter does agility with our dogs in 4-H and wanted a few things that she could use at home to keep working with the dogs. I saw these weave poles and thought it would be a fun new agility element she has never done. They are super easy to set up, take down and store away until next use. They seem really solid too and can take a bit of a hit. The red coloring really helps to if they don’t get taken down before Dad mows. The dogs and her are having a great time learning this new thing.

Good as a beginner set to introduce your dog to weave poles
Overall, this is a good set to introduce your dog to agility weave poles. I must state that these are not regulation weave poles, as there are five, not six poles, and the poles are not striped. Also, the poles do not come with a rigid pole mount. You will need to measure the distance between poles each time you set up. That being said, this is a decent set to begin training your dog. You can adjust the height, using two sections rather than three so that you can guide small dogs or puppies on leash through the poles. You can also space them further apart for beginning big dogs who have trouble weaving through the poles to start. There is also the possibility that a really fast dog could knock the poles out of the ground. The poles are solid red, which may cause a visibility problem, as the dog progresses in his agility skills. I would suggest placing a white or light color tape in two places on each assembled pole. All that being said, it is a good set to begin to train your dog and more importantly, to have fun as the two of you work together. It is easy to assemble and disassemble, with a storage bag to hold all the pieces. I am looking forward to introducing my Samoyed to them.
