Heavy Duty and Well Made
This Shepard’s Hook is great, it’s very sturdy and well made. I was hesitant to order since I wasn’t sure it would work for me. At 108 inches it is quite tall, and just what I needed to elevate the bird feeder. I wanted to deter squirrels from tree jumping to the bird feeder, yet still see the birds feeding from inside the house. It’s perfect. It was easy to put together, a bit unwieldy because of the height but, still went together without an issue. It also sways slightly if there’s a breeze because it’s so tall, no problem, I expected that might happen, but happy to have the height. It is secure in the ground with seven prongs and a few large rocks around the base for added security. Very pleased with this purchase!

Good quality and screws together in seconds. Itâs adjustable by leaving out one section. Two sets of prongs on bottom makes this easy to set up and take down.

This sheperd’s hook is a nice height for my bird feeder and I put it just outside my kitchen window. The problem is that the spikes should be a bit longer. It kept coming out of the ground as the ground froze and I ultimately had to set a large sandbag on the base to keep it in the ground.

Sturdy enough for windy days
The tines push into ground with my body weight fairly easily. It has been sturdy enough to keep up in big storms. I hang my bug zapper on it. I took it down for hurricane Helene, just in case, but left it up for some strong thunderstorms with no issues. It is made of medium-thin metal that should stand up to normal wear-and-tear.Helps to water the ground before putting it up. I didn’t put it all the way flush to the ground so it would be easier to remove, if necessary.

I bought these during the Prime Days Sale and was so afraid that these would be flimsy and Iâd have to return them. But they are not flimsy and definitely not being returned. These poles Are well-made, sturdy, easy to assemble and the extra tines keep them very stable. Iâm so impressed. Iâm ordering two more at full price.
