Solid choice for strong chewers
Our golden retriever is quite the enthusiastic chewer, so finding toys that can withstand his energy is always a challenge. The Monster K9 ball caught my eye because of the attached rope (great for tug-of-war) and the textured, durable-looking design. Plus, the lifetime replacement guarantee was a big selling point. The ball is a good size â not too big or small for him to carry around â and heâs really enjoyed it so far, both for chewing and fetch. That said, itâs quite hard and heavy for its size, so you need to be cautious when throwing it. If it accidentally hits someone, itâs not going to be pleasant. Our dog loves to grab it by the rope and swing it around, but when it hits him â or anyone nearby â itâs no joke. He doesn’t seem to mind that it’s hitting him, but I worry he’s going to be sore from it. Definitely something to keep in mind during playtime. The rope is a decent length and feels surprisingly sturdy. Despite his persistent chewing, itâs held up well so far, with just a few teeth marks but no major damage yet. However, I know from past experience that ropes donât last long with him, so Iâm not holding my breath. On the other hand, the ball itself is holding up impressively. Even after some intense roughhousing, thereâs no visible damage, which is a pleasant surprise.Itâs a little pricier than most dog toys, but if it truly stands the test of time, itâs worth the investment. So far, Iâm impressed â itâs a solid choice for strong chewers!

Ball is great for super chewers, rope won’t last long
The knobbly ball that is the body of this toy is great. My big, strong dogs (Alabai, large livestock dogs with jaws that can crack bones easily) love this thing, because it bounces erratically and has lots of knobs to try and chew. They’ve had at it for several weeks now and the ball itself is still in perfect condition, which is a rarity. The rope, though, was not destined to last. Partly because my dogs tried to chew it off and partly because they grabbed the rope and turned it into a swinging hammer throw.

Almost
This was ALLLMOST perfect. The rubber ball itself is indestructible. Seriously, its tough as nails and my boxer/malinois mix with an insane bite force loved it but couldn’t break it. It made for an awesome fetch toy.My only gripe is with the rope. I used it to avoid the inevitable slobber that came from playing fetch with my pup and unfortunately it was her favorite thing to rip to shreds the second she got a chance. If you can keep your pup from tearing the rope up, or don’t mind replacing the rope then its a great toy. Its a little heavy though so just keep that in mind for your pups safety. Other than that…good grab

This thing is a MONSTER!
This is one tough dog toy. The bumpy black ball is 4.5″ wide and feels like it weighs 5 pounds. It’s attached to a braided 10″ length of nylon rope that makes it a good toy for fetch. Our foster dog took to this toy immediately; one of the things he likes to do with toys on a rope is hold the rope in his mouth and shake his head. I don’t know how he hasn’t given himself a concussion shaking this hard rubber ball back and forth. I got a little too close one day and ended up with a ball sized bruise on my leg! He has had this toy now for a couple of weeks and both the rope and the rubber ball are still intact, which says a lot about the quality of this toy. Two paws up!

It holds up to abuse better than others.
My Australian Cattle Dog is not kind to his dog toys and turns most of them into chunks or shreds on the first day if not in a hour or two.He knew this was for him the moment it came out of the package and couldn’t wait to destroy it. He has managed to unravel the rope part just a little but doesn’t seem obsessed with it. He likes the big rubber ball part more. I guess it’s a challenge to him. It’s pretty solid and bounces in unpredictable ways. This is a win in the dog toy category.

Good ball, rope didn’t last
This ball is heavy and not particularly useful as just a ball. The rope made it an interesting toy, but our dog (who is an aggressive chewer) made quick work of shredding and removing the rope from the toy.Within a few days, this was just a black, heavy plastic ball that the dog has very little interest in at this point.

VERY heavy duty, dood likes
Iâve got a fairly aggressive chewier so Iâve always got an eye out for toys that will last a long time but that he also actually likes. My experience has been that most heavy duty toys the dog doesnât actually have any interest be it bc of thick rubber smell/taste or some other reason and itâs always an even bigger bummer considering they are always more expensive than average chew toys. This thing does have a rubber smell on the ball but it isnât overly offensive and for whatever reason my dog took to this toy immediately. I canât imagine it not lasting but itâs 12/1/24 now and Iâll swing back around and update if it falls apart or something.
