I AM IN LOVE! Every child needs this
One of the best set of tools I learned while working with children was Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Yale uses a system called RULER that, in short, helps recognize emotions, learn vocabulary to describe feelings, and gives children, teachers, educators, and parents the tools to help regulate emotions with all sorts of strategies (I recommend it to anyone and everyone). Although I only just discovered Purrble on Amazon the other day, I bought this under the guise of a being present for my husband because I knew that he’d understand how this little animal would be an asset for me and my anxiety. I retired from the field of education when I was 30 after requiring medical leave for anorexia and during treatment, I was diagnosed with PTSD. I was already being treated for anxiety, but everything I subsequently learned about my trauma-related triggers has helped me to identify situations that could potentially trigger panic or anxiety. Learning about ASD has also helped me observe my physical reactions and emotions in a way that my husband and I can come up with game plans for social situations and every day situations that tend to throw me off, emotionally, such as unexpected changes to my daily schedule. I lost my Emotional Support rabbit a year ago, after almost 12 years, which has been very challenging. This evening, I was feeling very heightened anxiety and decided to unbox our Purrble. I was so relieved to read that the batteries are already installed, so I’d be able to interact with it straightaway. I don’t like to read instructions, but rather figure things out intuitively, but I glanced at how to turn it on. It’s absolutely precious! This little creature is nothing like my Furbie- this is so soft and the design is genius. I watched the video and placed my order while watching it. I’ve already soothed it and soothed myself at the same time! I honestly think this is the best invention and best toy not only for neurodivergent people, but I think every family would benefit from a Purrble.

Comforting when you need it
I bought this for my elderly mom after we had to put her 17 yo cat. She was of course heart broken and didn’t want another cat. I’m not sure how I found this on amazon but I am glad I did. What I liked about this was that it’s clearly not a cat or any other kind of realistic looking animal. My mom doesn’t have dementia or Alzheimers and again, it’s not like she wanted another cat. It’s clearly just at best a teddy bear with a plastice frame and battery pack. The plush is soft and strokable. She figured out how it works and would put it on her lap when she watched tv. She understood the weird chirps it made was for attention. The purring was the reward and she found it both fun and comforting. It also gave her something to talk about. Unlike a tomagochi, this thing has an off button so there’s no pressure to deal with it when you don’t have the time. She actively used this for a couple of weeks of her grieving and now she just has it in the same room. That this helped her when she needed it most (even though it was only a couple of weeks) made it worth the money.

Comforting
Wasn’t sure about purchasing, as it was a new thing to me. Im 60 yrs old and lost my dog of 20 years recently- it hit me hard as we’ve been solo for many years together. I think the purrble was a perfect for physical comfort with its slow quiet movements & sounds. At first i thought it was too quiet – but it turned out to be fantastic! It doesquite look like pic – very little definition im shape and eyes were barely visible- like a hairy potato!! I clipped around its eyes and nose and – better!! Definitely love this purchase & highly recommend! Ps. I also have anxiety eyc- works great!!

Er ist wirklich sehr hochwertig im Gegensatz zu anderen Produkten dieser Art mit denen ich schon sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht habe. Er hilft bei Panikattacken und auch beim einschlafen, das beruhigende Schnurren lässt mich immer sofort einschlafen. Er ist kompakt, so das er auch leicht auf reisen mitkommen kann und so süß verpackt. Er ist das Geld wirklich Wert.

Süßes kleines Kerlchen, quietscht zu Recht empört, wenn man es an den Ohren zieht, bekommt ängstliches Herzklopfen, wenn man es zu ruckartig bewegt, beruhigt sich aber schnell, wenn es gestreichelt wird, und schnurrt hörbar und spürbar dann eine Weile, bis es mit einem leichten Kieksen einschläft.Das Fell ist sehr weich und lädt zum Knuddeln und Streicheln ein, aber die Haare im Gesicht waren etwas zu lang, die musste ich erst etwas kürzen, damit Augen und Nase wenigstens etwas sichtbar wurden. Die Fellfarbe am Kopf ist leider mausbraun, der Kopf etwas flachgedrückt, daher eher etwas mausähnlich (1 Punkt Abzug), aber trotzdem liebenswert.Der Vorteil dieses Robopets ist, dass es kein echtes Lebewesen ist, das durch falsche Behandlung und Vernachlässigung leiden könnte. Außerdem nervt Purrble nicht, sondern sitzt ruhig und geduldig auf dem Schreibtisch oder auf Sofa, bis man mal Zeit für ihn hat.Auf jeden Fall hilft Purrble mir, das eigene Stress-Level herunterzufahren, gerade in diesen verrückten Zeiten.
