First off, let me explain that Maggie, is a very stubborn and opinionated Wheaten Terrier, at 11 years old, not one to embrace something new. I did get these boots on her and considered it a small victory, keeping them on is another story. My only complaint is that each shoe has two separate velcro closures and getting those secure is not an easy task, letâs say it like it is, almost impossible for me to accomplish unless Maggie stood completely still and that didnât happen, so canât include a picture as the best I could get at one time was one shoe on and one in mid airâ¦however, I am stubborn too, and wonât give up yet.These shoes appear well made and will certainly keep her feet warmer and dry. Size wise they are a perfect fit.

I am SO GLAD we got these SUPERPAWS Brand âWinter Dog Bootsâ and SO H a P p Y for my pupâs FIRST-TIMERâS SUCCESS! Iâd buy these again in a heartbeat! Here are *7* reasons why!PROS:1. Quickly shipped! This gave us a chance for a âdry runâ before our *first snow*. I would recommend trying them on your pup in a dry area so they can do their first steps on dry ground, not snow. In fact, I took my pup on a few types of surfaces before we went on a walk. I think this really helped.2. SO EASY to slide on with their expanding V-shaped top.3. Well-stitched. QUALITY-made.4. The rubber on the bottom is deeply textured – SO HELPFUL! The rubber extends over the toe which seemed to help when my pup took off *running* in them! (See video!)5. They came in a resealable, snap-pouch for safe-keeping.6. The reflective fabric reflected as it should. (See photo.)7. The Velcro straps worked very well. She *did* lose a back shoe at one point, but she became VERY CONFIDENT quite quickly and started actually running in them on pavement. If you are going to be out for awhile and not just using them for a quick potty run, I would recommend checking the straps periodically to make sure they are still tight. Overall, the Velcro straps were VERY EFFECTIVE in keeping the boots on her paws.Tip: Make that first walk a short one. She was up and literally running in *7* minutes, then tired in about 15. I let her walk the rest of the way without them. I think this will also help when we really need them.CONS:1. They did/do have a bit of a “plasticky” chemical odor to them. I would recommend airing them out before you try them on your pup.Nothing else! If youâve been wanting to try some winter dog boots, I would definitely recommend SUPERPAWS Winter Dog Boots! TWO PAWS up! Or in this case – FOUR PAWS down on the ground!

Couldn’t get my dog to try them on
These could be perfect or they could be terrible. I’ll probably never know because my dog refuses to let me put them on her, in spite of the fact that her paws get frostbit every winter.If she ever does let me try them on her, I’ll update this review. Until then, know your dog before you try these.

This is a good pair of dog booties. Great for protecting your pups paws from the heat of the concrete in the summer, to the ice in the winter. Introduce your dog to these slowly. Let them sniff them, check them out, etc. It may take a while to get them actually on, and a little time for your pup to get used to them on their feet. If you can get them on, and left on, these will work great.

Meh…not so much.
My pittie hates to get her feet wet, so I thought some little booties might be a good way to make potty trips more endurable for her. However, these are difficult to put on her because the velcro tie-wraps are difficult to use since they are only secured at one end and twist around easily. They don’t secure very well as a result. The design of these also makes it hard to get them onto pup paws. Let’s face it, dogs don’t like to cooperate with things like this, and a cumbersome design does not help at all. Once I finally got them on her front paws, they stayed in place less than ten seconds before she had them off. They DO appear to be really well constructed, they are just a pain to attempt to use and they don’t stay on.
