Like the concept. We had one in the 40s. Great toy for submarine missions (boxes). And spotting enemies spotting sneaking up on the fort.

My kid LOVES this! Got it for a child’s 5th birthday gift
You can see around corners and into spaces you otherwise wouldn’t fit into. My 5 year old loves it.Word of caution – don’t submerge it in water or leave it outside overnight. It’s very well made, but requires some care. Our son left it out overnight on accident, which got some moisture inside it. Good news is, it dried out and is just fine. But we’re going to be more watchful. We love this and expect it to last a very long time.

Good materials, badly out of focus!
So badly out of focus, I could not make out objects across the small bedroom we have. Until quality control is improved in their Chinese factory, skip this. I had high hopes, but was let down by the product. The company responded quickly, but I had already returned it to Amazon for a refund.

Distorted views – lenses are horrible!
Do not bother purchasing. I don’t know what periscope other people received – but the one I received had misshaped lenses that provided distorted views. Sad waste of materials and labor for an item that is unusable and will end up as landfill.

blurry image & dirt trapped inside
The image is blurry from distorted and/or cheap mirrors and cardboard dust and pieces are trapped inside. I’m glad I have time to return it before my daughter’s birthday. The exterior is cute and the bamboo is a nice touch, but it is worthless if it doesn’t do what it is supposed to.
