Kids can match these wooden puzzle pairs to make mastering letters as easy as A-B-C! A different object illustrates each letter of the alphabet shown in both upper and lower case, and the puzzles are self-correcting because each puzzle piece has only one match that fits. It’s a great way for children to play independently and learn at the same time. The puzzle includes 52 high-quality wooden pieces, and comes in a sturdy wooden box with a slide-in lid for easy storage and accessibility. The colorful puzzle pieces feature a familiar item to represent each letter ranging from an apple to a zebra. The Self-Correcting Alphabet Puzzles help kids practice letter recognition, matching and memory skills, eye-hand coordination, and fine motors skills. Finding the correct matching piece and solving a letter puzzle can also help kids feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. It makes a great gift for preschoolers and young learners ages four and older, for hands-on, screen-free play.

So fun for my 2 year old
This is great for kids that are learning to connect letter sounds with words using their hands. Yes about 4 letters have strange words that go with it but, it actually makes them think a little harder and makes them read the first letter of the word on the puzzle piece. we have had this puzzle for about a year and it looks just as good when we first bought it.

    Love!
I was looking for ways to teach my son how to remember his letters and correlate them to pictures of everyday things he sees. This puzzle has been so helpful. He is 6 and has had a hard time when it comes to certain letters and sounds, but with the help of this puzzle it has gotten easier for him.

Good learning tool, but pieces are similar in shape
Good learning tool for kid who loves puzzles, but the pieces are very similar in shape, I expected them to be a bit more different so the right pieces were easily identifiable.

    Delivery time
Haven’t opened it because it’s a gift for my great granddaughter, but it looks well-made and very sturdy, and the delivery time was absolutely amazing. It was at my front door about three hours after I ordered it.

Excellent quality for the product. Very sturdy and cannot be bitten into or broken easily by kids unlike other cardboard puzzles which does not last more than a week with kids below 3 years.Bright colours and neatly visible alphabets. each puzzle set for alphabet is different, so kids can play alone and learn.Comes with a neat wooden box for storage which is an added advantage.

The quality of the wooden pieces in this set are not on par with the quality that I have come to expect from Melissa and Doug products. My daughter actually got a splinter from playing with them. I took a piece of sandpaper to them, and improved some of the splintering and rough edges, but I was a little disappointed. Also, when the box arrived, the pieces were aligned flush with the top of the box. But when I removed the pieces, I found a cardboard filler several inches high, which, when removed, made the pieces barely fill the box halfway. It looks like a big, half-empty box, and I didn’t care for that. However, the quality of the printed images and letters, as well as the beautiful illustrations are very Melissa and Doug style and I was pleased with them. So I’m kind of on the fence about this one.(On another note, the font used in the small words printed beneath the pictures appears to be a different font. My clever students were appalled that the Q and other letters were printed differently on the two pieces that they are meant to match.)
