The JOOVY is groovy!
For clarity this review is for the JOOVY New Room2 with gray fabric and gray mesh. It is replacing a Pack n Play TotBloc that my daughter is taking. I decided not to duplicate the previous play yard for several reasons: the JOOVY New Room2 is a bit larger, has more viewing area because of the upright support design, it has two wheels, comes with a waterproof sheet, a zippered carrying case, and the available color choice.My first thoughts:This is not light, but the wheels certainly make it much easier to move and prevents stressing the support legs because you don’t have to drag it if you don’t have help moving it. Set up was easy enough, similar to the P&P, and the padded mattress is okay for most babies and young toddlers. The waterproof sheet that came with it fits nicely and has deep pockets to keep it from popping off. There are reinforced slits for the straps to go through that hold the mattress to the frame. It has a velore-like top that is very soft and you can buy extras to have a spare just in case.The zippered case is nice to have because if you do use the NR2 for vacation, etc. it will help keep the dirt from getting in or the play yard frame from slipping out of the wrap-around mattress if you haven’t tightened the straps enough. It’s made from windbreaker type material and the zipper works easily.The reason why I chose the gray/gray was simple; wet baby fingers and drooling mouths are inevitable, and they attract dirt like a magnet. When your little one is old enough to stand, they will chew on the top rail and run their hands (and tongue) over the mesh. It doesn’t take long for the play yard to look nasty if you’re dealing with light colored fabric and mesh. My daughter’s P&P has a very light gray fabric and white mesh. It only took the grandson a few months to make it look stained (she jokes it’s just the top rail showing through). I’m hoping the darker gray will hide the dirt better, but if it doesn’t, a quick wipe down should make it look new again.Now the Cons:It is heavy but if you are strong and in good shape you should be able to handle transportation with little difficulty. For the rest of us, it might be a struggle. I wish the mattress was tighter fitting but if you use the straps, especially if you have a “creative” child who likes to tunnel, the mattress should stay put. Check occasionally for missing toys under the mattress either way. Adding an additional aftermarket mattress is not recommended, and some reviewers have put extra blankets under the fitted sheet. I bought a spare waterproof sheet and doubled up and it’s plenty soft. Since they are waterproof, if the top one gets soiled, it will be easy enough to remove it and a clean sheet is already on. None of the cons I’ve mentioned is enough for me to knock off a star.To wrap up this novel, it doesn’t matter what color you choose, I think you’ll be very pleased with the JOOVY New Room2 and the extra room your child will have to play in may give you peace of mind longer. I will update my review if my opinion changes or a problem arises.****Update: I didn’t have this unit a week before my grandson threw up in it! Down one side, stuck in the mesh, hitting the waterproof sheet and pooling under the mattress. Ugh! A few paper towels for the chunks and some disinfectant wipes for the rest and there were no traces of the accident. The moisture never went through the sheet and nothing leaked through the bottom onto the carpet. I was so relieved to see no traces of stains or smell the next day!On a side note, the bump or ridge that has been mentioned by other reviews has appeared in our mattress as well. It in no way interferes with the function of the play yard.

I am a mom of 6, grandma of 6 soon to be 7, and I was looking for something for my daughter as her son was just wanting to crawl but they have nothing but hardwood floors which were less than ideal for learning to sit, crawling, and tipovers which we all know happen. I researched and although a bit expensive, went ahead and ordered and I am so glad I did. This exceeded all my expectations. It is large and roomy and baby loved it. He was able to play, crawl, and is now standing and holding the edge. The corners are very low profile so he has a huge viewing area and doesn’t feel contained and the color itself matches virtually any room decor rather than being some obnoxious pattern. It also has wheels on one side so it is very easy to move around. It folds up and has a case for portability and you can also get sheets which can be washed which is huge in my book. I had a large playpen for my daughter 27 years ago and was wondering why they are so hard to find nowadays… they are all much smaller pack n plays which seem so contained with no room to “move”; this one is different and I would recommend to anyone; so worth the money spent! Looking to get another for next grandbaby arriving this March!

Do you have a toddler that doesnât sleep when traveling and can scale mountains?
Pretty hype about this. Itâs been a couple months now and can confirm the sturdiness and climb proofing sleeping arrangement it provides. Our 2 year old is⦠Houdini. Heâs been in a twin bed since a little over a year old because his ability to escape paired with his height made cribs and normal pack and plays useless. We tried the slumber pod/sleep tent but one fine evening he tore through it. Legit tore a huge hole through it vs. trying to unzip it like normal humans.So I found this in hopes since itâs spacious, not as dark, and easy to travel that I would work. PRAISE THE LORD IS DOES. He sleeps great in it when traveling and itâs easy to pack up. I also purchased a memory foam topper for it for extra comfort and heâs a huge fan. The walls are high and thanks to the mesh makes it hard for the kiddo to grip to climb.I really like the sheet that comes with it. Itâs super soft and washes easy.Just overall a great product. If you have a toddler that is in the 99% for height and can rip through tents, and scale mountains, then you need this.

So worth it!
We love the Joovy Room2! Itâs truly like a second room for our 9 month old when we need to get stuff done around the house and canât have her roaming around. She loves to do any and everything in there and itâs big enough for her to sleep and have toys in there and not be worried about space! Itâs also surprisingly easy to put up and break down, just as easy as any other pack n play. I was expecting it to be a little more complicated because of the size difference. The sheet it comes with is top of the line IMO! Itâs almost like a velour material, super soft and wipes clean SO easily! Only thing is, I wish the sheets came in different colors. Our daughter has bad reflux and still spits up a lot so a white sheet isnât ideal for us but like I said it wipes clean very easily and washes well too so itâs not a big deal. I was debating between this and the hiccapop but couldnât find any info on how thick the padding was on those and didnât like that fact that it would be directly on the ground because we have hardwood throughout our home. I wanted to make sure to get something that was either super padded or off the direct ground and Iâm so glad I chose the Joovy Room2! Worth every penny!

Andaba buscando un corralito, pero en general todos son como area de juegos donde tienes que poner a parte un tapete o eran muy grandes, este corral me gustó porque el tamaño es bueno porque no es ni muy grande ni muy pequeño. Es fácil de instalarlo, aunque puede ser que al principio parezca complicado (me ayudó ver un video de youtube), pero creo que realmente es una muy buena opción de compra.

This playard is perfect for our tall baby. He can sit, roll, creep, and crawl around without getting stuck. The fitted sheet that comes with it (of which you can buy extras too) is a lovely fuzzy/velvety cotton with a waterproof backing. It washes nicely and can go in the dryer, which is super handy. Some reviews complain of a ridge or bump down the middle – this happens if you do not attach the Velcro tabs of the mattress to the playard base via the slots. The two middle panels of the mattress can overlap by being pulled together due to the tight fitting sheet. The playard packs up easily and takes up the same amount of space as smaller playards when stored.This is exactly what we needed – simple but stylish, and large enough for babe to play but compact in our living room.

Love this playpen! It’s big enough for our tall baby and practical, while the clean design is beautiful. It is fairly heavy, though after much research we went with it because even though it’s portable, in reality the number of times we’ll bring it to the grandparents is small and it can always be carried in two parts (heavy mattress in one shot, sides and metal structure in another). Other playpens may be lighter and easier to transport, but the quality of mattress in this one is incredible and makes me feel comfortable about leaving my LO in it to play or nap – some of the others I’ve seen have really flimsy mats that I wouldn’t trust!
