It works and doesn’t hurt your dog
After her spay surgery, I bought Maisie a post surgery onesie to keep her from chewing or picking her surgery site. After a couple of days I took it off to brush her and discovered she was horribly matted. (First time ever!)I did a little research and found this dematting tool. You slip it under the mat, and gently work it up through the mat. It slices through the mat so that it can be easily brushed out. It did cut her hair a little shorter than it was, but I honestly expected to have to get her shaved. I got out all the mats in just a couple of 20-30 minute sittings.

If you have a small hairy dogs like mine, you won’t regret buying this. It really works great for dematting their fur. I love how it is a comb style with longer comb teeth. Just be careful though when handling and taking of the fur from it. I hurt my left pointer finger because the other side is sharp. But it’s not a problem, just being careful now not to touch that side. Other than that, this is great product and will probably buy more.

Iâve purchased other versions of this brush, but none of them worked. This one got the job done. It removed all of catâs mats. It had trouble cutting through some of the thicker mats and resulted in an angry cat, but we eventually got through them.
