Cute and Fun!
I ordered this as a Christmas present for a two year old. She absolutely LOVES this toy! I have not had any problems with the toy not working at all. It is loud enough so that when she presses the button on the search “wand” the elephant calls out to her and she can then follow the sound in order for her to locate it. This toy is great and she brings it back again and again to be hidden. It must be noted however that she is able to find the elephant within a couple of minutes, so the person hiding the elephant will be kept busy! The elephant was smaller than I expected it to be; however, I guess that is a good thing for hiding purposes. Overall, this was a great purchase and a great gift!

Really cute toy but just as other people had stated, the remote portion of the elephant stopped working after a month or so. It was great while it lasted!

Waste of money!
Purchased this toy for my 2 and 3 year old grandsons. It’s cute, but only worked sporadically the first three times we played with it and stopped working on the fourth attempt. Had to install new batteries when we first opened the toy and tried installing new batteries to get it to work when it stopped working, but nothing helped. Since my grandsons do not live with me, we used the toy only three times in a four week period so I was beyond the return date. A total waste of time and money and a great source of disappointment for my grandsons.

Great toy with one issue
I hate to give this toy only 3 stars as it is a great toy for my four year old. She loves playing hide and seek and thinks the elephant is so adorable. The issue I have with it is she needs me to turn it on each time she wants to play. I purchased it not only for her and I to play with it, but so she could play hide n seek while I make dinner and things like that. The issue I have is you have to open the back of the elephant each time you start to witch it to “On”. She can’t seem to do this, and has to bring it to me every time. If that were not the case I would think it’s perfect. I see her get frustrated when it doesn’t work for her, and she will leave it to play with something else.

So much fun!
My 2 year old got this for Christmas and we have had so much fun with it.After reading some of the other reviews I wanted to say that this is a toy that a parent or older child may have to play with a younger child because it is somewhat difficult to turn the animal on. You have to open the velcro on the animals back and turn the switch to the on position (there is on, off, and demo). Besides that, who would want to play hide and seek by themselves?Also the animal shuts off after 5 mins of non use so then you have to open it back up and turn it off then on again. This is a minor annoyance compared to the fun we have had with this toy.The tag says manufacture recommended age is 3 and up, but I would buy this toy for a child age 1-3. I think it would be too easy for a child older then that.

Very cute toy
I bought this toy for my 3 yr old who is in love with zoo animals. She loves how soft the elephant is. And the trumpeting sound is way cute. But after 12 minutes non stop it is a bit annoying. The biggest draw back was the limited range of the wand. You have to be in the same room and within a few feet of the toy for the wand to work. It takes 2 people to play, one to hide the toy, the other to seek, but toddlers enjoy it once you can get the wand to work within range. Even after my daughter lost the wand, she still played with it as a stuffed animal. We will be looking into the toys designed for older kids when the time is right. We really like this one.

I would give it zero stars if I could
While the elephant is cute and cuddly the toy has one BIG problem. We have to place the wand within 2 feet of the elephant for it to work. This makes it impossible to play hide and seek. Completely useless for its intended purpose.
