good purchase for specific need
The scoop does what I bought it for well. I got this to scoop kitty litter from the store-bought box into the cats’ litter box. I had previously been using a dollar tree 2-cup measuring cup which broke under pressure. This scoop is big and strong. The handle seems a bit short, but it has finger ridges so I’m never afraid of losing my grip. Good purchase for my needs.

The price was right, it arrived quickly, and is very scoopable. (hehehe) Actually, I use it to scoop wood pellets into my stove, the product is solid and works well. I like the bigger size 38 oz.

Just what I wanted
I was gifted the 85oz scoop recently and bought the 38oz myself to use to feed my animals. With the 85oz I can move 5lbs at a time making for a quick job. I like to buy my Dog food in bulk and pouring a 50lb sack into my storage bin is difficult for me to do by myself so I’d scoop it into my container with a plastic scoop purchased at a local retailer. The plastic over time became brittle and it could only move a couple pounds at a time making for a lot of scooping. This scoop however gets the job done in no time flat. So much easier to deal with. The quality seems really good. The aluminum is light but sturdy. I wish it had a hole in the handle to pass a cord through for hanging but that’s minor. I really like these scoops and plan on getting the rest of the sizes.

I have reservations about this item
I needed a large ice scoop for my refrigerator. This is a good size, but it discolored when I washed it, and grey color comes off when you dry it.

I ordered the Crestware, the New Star, and the Winco. All three were identical and appeared to have come out of the same mold, everything that is cast in the scoop is identical between all three. The only difference I see is that the Crestware and New Star have sitckers and the Winco stamps their name in the product.

Great Replacement
When I sold my place back in Ohio I must have left my aluminum scoop. I tried various alternatives but finally decided to break down and get a new scoop. I chose the above. It has been just right for scooping bird seed and grass seed. It is even better than the old aluminum scoop. I was a bit concerned about the comments regarding gripping the scoop. That has not been a problem. I find myself using my thumb inside the scoop and the rest of my hand on the handle. It is just natural. I highly recommend this scoop.

I use this to scoop salt into my water softener, my previous scoop broke under the weight of the salt and doing it by hand left my hands a mess. this is a perfect fix! I got a second one to scoop cat food, too!

Very good scoop been using heavily at work for scooping cement, YES you read that right Cement! By the light weight feel of it i wasnt sure of the handle but after many months of scooping cement it is very tough!
