Customers say
Customers appreciate the well-sized and sturdy cat bed. They find it to be a good quality product with a nice, neutral design that blends well with furniture. Many cats love it and find it great for cardboard box-loving cats. The bed offers good value for money, and customers say it’s a great purchase for finicky cat owners. While some customers appreciate comfort and ease of cleaning, others have mixed opinions on shape retention.

FELT CAVE TESTED & REVIEWED BY 6 CATS > 5 SAY YES > 1 SAYS MAYBE LATER
This is not a human review but was dictated to me by 6 cats [5 gifted by a “wayward” mother plus 1 “screen clinger” who loudly demanded to become part of our household]. Of the 6, only one has given this a “ho-hum” response which in my opinion bodes well for this “cat cave”.5 stars for :the very soft inner cushion which is very satisfactory for “kneading and loud purring”large opening with plenty of room inside allowing us to sleep on our backs or like “doughnuts”well constructed [fat sister sat on top and squashed it but human easily pop it back into shape due to the strong stitching of the outer shell]good place to hide especially when social distancingfits in with decor [a human thing we cats don’t really give a fig]not sure about cleaning that’s human’s job but seems like it would be easyreasonably priced, again a human thing, not our worryIn short, 5 out of 6 cats agree that this Cat Cave is a very good choice.Sincerely,Tit, Tat, Bonnie, Clyde, Hiss and Blue

Polyester, not wool –
I wanted to get my pair of cats something they could use to stay warm with the coming winter. Well, wool works. I didn’t see where the fiber was listed in the description, but I might have missed it. However, one is led to believe that it’s wool…without saying it’s wool. The price is significantly lower than the real wool caves.I liked the entrance having some extra support, so I invested the money. It comes flattened in the box. You’ll have to pull it out and poke out the folds. It gives instructions to steam, wet, or just let it reshape naturally. I chose the latter. One reshaped well enough. The other has a few “soft” spots that don’t hold shape, but overall, it wasn’t a significant issue for me.The pillow inside is too small for the cave and there is at least an inch of “floor” and the kitties slip off. I’ll rectify with a blanket, but if you have a sensitive cat, they might reject the cave because of this issue. All that said, both seem to like them. They go back and forth. They have yet to establish which belongs to whom. But I’m sure they’ll figure it out eventually. There is one issue – since their arrival, both cats have had the “itchies”. The male, who sleeps in them the most, has scratched himself raw at times. I’m not sure if there’s a chemical on the fabric? or if the included bit of catnip is “bad” ? But I’m back to sensitive cats might have issues. The opening is large and angled. They like to be able to see while still feeling hidden. Good design on that part. The faux leather holds the opening so it doesn’t “wilt” like most fabrics do over time. (tho’ I haven’t had them that long yet) It’s roomy. Even big cats will have space to cuddle up. My boy is 17 lbs and has extra room to move. It’s not bad. I think the kitties are happy to have them. But it might take a little effort on their parents’ parts to make it more comfortable and allergy free.

Capri Approved!
I have a senior rescue cat who is very spoiled and very particular about everything. He uses his Kitty City Felt Round Bed (cat cave) and seems to really enjoy it. I have it on the bed next to my pillows. It gives him some privacy and warmth.

GOOD FOR LARGE CATS
I purchased two of these. My cats LOVE these cozy hideaways. It took my two younger cats about 10 mins to inspect and crawl in, and my two older cats (maincoons) a little longer. My oldest cat has claimed one bed as his permanent rest spot, so my two kittens are cuddled up in the other one.I think this bed would be ideal for a mama cat and her newborn kittens.I could not give a rating for cleaning as I have not had to spot clean yet. And I didn’t rate for sturdiness because it’s a wool felt product therefore sturdiness is subjective. The bed does sit upright on it’s own but it’s collapsible, so if your cat jumps on top it makes into a open bed instead of a cave Hideaway.I love the casual, neutral color palette and it goes with my decor.Happy Cats ~ Happy Owner

Eh- review from a cat mom
Aesthetic is great, execution is poor. Right out of the box, I have a hole in a top seam because the stitching wasnât aligned properly. The shape is also not as good as some other felt items I own. I tried to iron it, but it only helped some. Expect permanent crinkles and wrinkles. Itâs roomy, and cute, and should be machine washable on cool and air dried without damage. I wish quality was better though.

Best napping bed
I couldn’t get this on the floor fast enough for my cats. They love it so much I’m ordering 3 more so they don’t fight over who gets it. Great shape, easy in and out, and removable bed pad. Plus a little catnip sent. Love that.
