REALLY WORKS
My puppy stopped barking and she knows when not to bark with the collar on. We don’t have a remote control so I gave that a one star, but otherwise, it was pretty effective. She is a husky, aus and german shepherd mixed, and learned quickly. The only issue is getting it to fit right on her puffy fur, if you make it extra snug and part the fur, it will work.

The collar worked for about 1 week, in that time it ran thru 2 batteries while only being used about 1 hour a day. Even when it worked it was very unreliable, would HIGHLY recommend just spending a little more for a better brand

They burn through batteries, but that’s the cost of the functional convenience they provide.
It’s really not fair to the manufacturer to knock a star off because they burn through batteries. Any larger would be too large. But there IS one other minor complaint: the buckle allows the strap to loosen. And the secret to the effectiveness of a bark collar is that the terminals remain close to the skin. I noticed in other complaints that people couldn’t make it work correctly; well, here’s how to handle that: get it adjusted to your dog’s neck so that it’s as tight as directed; then trim the excess strap material with a sizzor; and then use a lighter to melt the end of the strap to the other part of the strap where it folds back onto itself. (And don’t worry, you can peel it apart if you have to re-adjust the sizing. Just re-melt it to “glue” it together so that it doesn’t loosen when your dog scratches at it.)

It a great bark collar however it is not designed properly. The lens that show the information gets scratched easily from the dog wearing it. Mine is less than two months old and I can not clearly see the settings.

Doesn’t work for our dog
We bought this for our mini labradoodle who loves to bark at people who come around our house. Being PetSafe we had high hopes but it now sits unused in a corner somewhere because it is past the time we could return it.We tried several different settings but it never seemed to only work when she would bark. Instead it zapped her when she jumped off the couch or would be running around the yard playing. She would bark and it wouldnt zap her until she had barked four or five times. I don’t know what is defective about the model or if the design just isnt right.If you order it try it quick and make sure it is properly working while you can still return it. Since we didnt put it on her for a while and life got busy we missed the return window. I can not recommend this product to be purchased at this time.

Did not work No Bark guarantee was not honored.
The collar never worked on my 50 pound dog. I emailed Petsafe several times to try to resolve the issue. I asked for a refund based on the no bark guarantee but was told only the retailer could issue a refund. It was past the refund eligible date so I am out 50 dollars. I purchased another brand and it worked just fine.

Doesn’t seem to do anything, ever. The light flashes showing it’s on, never does anything when my 15 lb dog barks repeatedly. Useless product, don’t waste your money on this one. Buy a different bark collar.

it will only shock for deep barks, so instead he will yip. Also it is very ineffective as it turns off for 3 minutes at a time after 15 consecutive barks. Useless , unless you want to stand beside him all hours of the day to constantly adjust the power button and collar. As soon as the dog shakes water off himself the collar slides up the side of his neck. Yes I adjusted it tight enough to the recommendation, I followed all steps. I wouldn’t recommend. The 15 shock pattern is also silly. He has only learned how to bark “lighter” not less. The collar turns itself off, it’s always a guessing game to check if it’s on I’m spending more time checking the collar than I am getting the yard cleaned up. Don’t waste your money.
