Transformative Mattress Topper
I was needing a new mattress topper for our older extra-firm mattress, because I was waking up several times during the night with hip and back pain. Most nights I’d wake up at 3 am in so much pain, I’d just give up and go sleep on the living room couch. My husband was also only getting about 6 hours of sleep a night. We thought maybe these sleep issues were the result of our advancing age. I read several articles about the best mattress toppers for 2024, and the Viscosoft toppers were regularly mentioned, I read all of the positive reviews, and decided to try the 4 inch Select High Density topper. When the topper arrived a couple of days later, we unboxed it and laid it out flat on top of our mattress so it could expand. There were a lot of areas that had creases and were bunched up at first, but as the mattress top expanded to the full 4 inches it flattened out and became uniformly smooth. It seemed a little soft/squishy to the touch, so I was afraid it would be too soft. I was surprised when I laid down on it that first night, because it actually felt very firm, so then I was afraid it would be too firm. The interesting thing that I noticed was that the mattress topper totally conformed to my lower back, fully supporting it, but at the same time I didn’t feel like I was sinking down into it. I could roll over with ease, something that I couldn’t do with my previous mattress topper. The real test was seeing how well both my husband and I slept that night. Instead of waking up 5 or 6 times and struggling to go back to sleep, I woke up once (only to use the bathroom). When I returned to bed, instead of taking a full hour to go back to sleep, I was asleep within a minute. My hip and my back were not hurting. My husband also only woke up once during the night to use the bathroom, and he too immediately went back to sleep. He slept 8 1/2 hours. He hasn’t done that in years. I slept 9, something I also hadn’t done in years. We both woke up with more energy and felt great! The next morning, we couldn’t wait to tell each other how well we had slept. Another interesting observation was that we didn’t get hot at all during the night like we have with other memory foam mattress toppers. There is a slight odor when you first open the box and lay the topper out to expand, but it eventually dissipates. If you are suffering from aches and pains during the night, and haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep in ages, don’t assume that it is just because you are getting older. Try this mattress topper. It has made a tremendous difference in our sleep quality.

It’s like heaven!!
So far this has fit the bill on what I was searching for. It appears to be of good quality and it is exceptionally very comfortable. I got the Queen size and I’m loving it, feels like luxury. It is high density, heavy, and it is a medium firm plushy feel. You don’t feel yourself sinking into it when you roll over, and aren’t trying to climb out of a deep hole either, easy roll over. I do have a super firm bed from Bowles Mattress, the HD one that you can flip over and use both sides and I wanted to build upon it to my liking. Started with a firm latex thinking that would do but it didn’t have enough cush feel like a cloud, so I got this and put on top of that and now I’m in heaven. So far no aches or pains in my lower back or anywhere. I also have a medium firm cloud temperpedic bed which is so comfortable when you go to sleep in it, but I would wake up in PAIN in my lower back, so that led me to this bed I have now. This is a 2 thumbs up mattress topper for me so far!!(Just wanted to also add, that this doesn’t have an odor, it doesn’t slip around on my bed and it doesn’t sleep hot either like my Temperpedic Cloud does. If I could give this topper more stars instead of just 5 I would!! I am still very happy with this purchase whenever this topper does wear out, I will definitely be buying another for sure! I should get a discount for all the good reviews I give them, you’d think, but whatever, I do love this topper though and like helping people when I know something is a good product. Arrived very quickly, easy to unpack. I needed a twin size for our king bed as my husband didn’t want anything on his side but I needed more padding for my shoulder and hip. I no longer have any joint pain while sleeping. good quality.

We purchased this for camping in our motorhome. We used the topper in the last part of summer with no issues till fall rolled in and the temperatures dropped. What we found is that the topper went hard as a rock and colder than an ice cube. Going to sleep was so cold and the topper at times didn’t warm up even with our body heat. To help after realizing what was happening we would pull all the blankets off and crank up the heat to warm the topper. By this time it was to late to return. I might have to buy a 12v heated mattress pad that would cost over $200 or sell and buy something different. Do not purchase this topper if you camp even a little in colder weather.
