Not like the other Chuck-it offerings
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I should’ve read the reviews closer because like many others, this ring was destroyed within 5 minutes of giving it to my 10 month old boxer. Granted, it isnt advertised as a chew toy, but I relied upon the Chuck-it Brand to be durable & well loved as everything we’ve bought in this brand in the past decade has been durable & the ONLY toys that have withstood my heavy chewers. Balls? Yep! Had some of the same ones for 5+ years & heavily chomped on. We only need to buy more when they’re lost in the yard. Fetch stick? Yep! Well loved & tugged over daily with both a boxer & pitt mix. Ring..? Sadly it met its quick death within 5 minutes of delivery.Wasted my money there but you live, you learn.

Hollow dangerous waste of $
I loved the chuck it stick because it took a long time for my dog to break but this donut one is hollow and was broken to bits within a minute! Wasted $ and my poor dog is left without his Christmas gift.

Louie loved it
This toy was absolutely perfect for my adult Labrador! The way it rolls adds an extra layer of excitement when playing fetch, as he loves chasing and trying to catch it while itâs moving. It probably triggers his natural predator instincts, which makes it even more enjoyable for him. Unfortunately, my other dog, who is an aggressive chewer, managed to destroy it, so I wouldnât recommend it for dogs that like to chew. Despite that, Iâll definitely be purchasing another one because itâs such a hit during playtime. Iâll just make sure to keep it out of reach when weâre not actively using it!

Dogs LOVE this
I was gifted the launcher for this ring, so had to buy the ring. My dog hasnât liked chasing balls, but she loves this thing. So do all the other dogs at the park! It moves more erratically than a ball, and is great to get the dog running. You need to use it in a big park or yard, because it rolls a long way! Itâs not a chew toy. Like any of the chuckit balls, it can be destroyed by hard chewers. My dog just likes to chase & retrieve it, rather than chew it, so itâs great for us!

I was hoping this would last a while like the balls do but the dogs had it destroyed in under 5 minutes. If your doggies are chewers Iâd avoid but fun toy for non chewers.

Chucked the first one…
Nov 2023 Update:Unfortunately, this isn’t the same quality as the older version we had. My dog tore it up within a few months. Still, she loves it so much that we replaced it again. It’s affordable enough to do that now, but if the price goes up and she destroys it again, we may have to look elsewhere.Original Review:My dog loves this toy. Plays with it every single day, mostly for fetch but sometimes as a chew toy. It’s pretty sturdy but she’s also pretty determined, so she did eventually destroy her original ring (after maybe a year). Just got a second one to replace it. It’s actually smaller and seems slightly thicker/stronger so it may last longer this time. Got the one without a squeaker. This ain’t my first rodeo.

Our high energy dog’s favorite
This is an integral part of our shepard/collie’s daily routine. Collie’s in particular are very focused, and are workers needing a ridiculous amount of exercise. Our nearly 3 year old has been using this twice a day, just about every day to get her energy out. Every 4-6 months we purchase a new ring as an old ring gets partly chewed, worn out, or lost but the wand typically outlasts the rings so this is where we buy them. In winter snow we have to transition to the chuck-it flying squirrel as this ring gets buried and lost in the powder. While I do wish she liked the tennis ball version more as that product is much more readily available (and you can sub actual tennis balls when needed), this one has some advantages. First, it is heavier than the ball. You can therefore put more effort into throwing it and get 50 yard tosses if you choose. Go easy though – I got tennis elbow from this thing. But that is probably due more to the twice daily 30+minute sessions with little breaks (this dog just keeps going!). Second, You can bounce and roll it higher and further than the ball too. My goal is to toss it up reasonably high and far enough that my dog catches it on the first or second bounce. She loves to catch it in the air but a quick inspection of her teeth tell me that’s not a good idea (all of her 4 canine teeth are missing a little bit of them). Maybe I should ding this product one star for that, but my dog insists that it is a 5 star product. Lastly, it is heavier than the ball so be careful throwing it near buildings. I haven’t broken any windows with this but there have been a couple close calls.

Not for all dogs
The dogs were very excited for new toys, however, this one last maybe 5 minutes with an 11 month old Great Dane. I had to stop him from eating the pieces he chewed off.Do not recommend for all dogs, good for light chewers or no chewers.

This is our second chuck it ring, my dog made a small tear in the first one after 3 years of extremely aggressive play. Toys with him typically donât last 3 days let alone years so I bought a replacement and he loves it as much as the first one!
