NOT for the pool
This football came up on the Amazon search for pool footballs. Wish I had looked at the description provided by Nerf a bit closer because it says nothing about it being ok for the pool, just that it can be used outdoors. It absorbed tons of water and then got so heavy, it tore within the 1st hour. It will still be a great little football to practice catching and throwing with our younger family members. I paid $14 for this, and now that itâs arrived, I definitely overpaid. It should be priced less than $10.

Perfect football for starters and kids
After being flabbergasted that no local store had Nerf footballs – I took to Amazon, and of course was not disappointed. My son wanted to start playing with a football (he’s 4) and the ones we have were both too large and a bit harder than I’d like, should one hit him in his head or chest. So of course, like any good parent and fellow 80s/90s kid – I looked up a Nerf football.Now, I will say the “grip” part of this is slightly misleading. It’s a slick foam exterior – not as grippy as I’d expect. But he has no problem cradle catching this for now. I remember as teens we’d have a hard time catching these if they were slick or it was cold out anyway.Otherwise, this is the perfect football for some backyard fun. Soft to where I don’t have to worry about an errant throw or bounce hurting my little guy. But large enough in size that it’ll grow with us as we play catch in the back yard. Brings back memories; glad the more things change the more this classic stays the same.

A must for a young kid
Have purchased this football many times for my son. I dont have to worry about giving him a bloody nose. These wont last forever but for the price I find that they last over a year if you are mindful of it. Great ball to throw and make memories with my son!
