This laser pointer is not just for dogs and cats! Apparently, it entertains toddlers as well. I think its pretty good value for what it’s priced it. It seems to be built well, doesn’t squeak or make obnoxious noises when in use, and the light is fairly bright. It seems to be a durable item that will last. I appreciate that it has a sensor and timer, so it’s not on for a long while, but long enough for entertainment. Then it cycles through the timer and turns on again. It looks pretty clean sitting on my shelf. I’d order again.

It works, but has design flaws
It DOES work, however I have 2 major gripes with this.1.) the battery life isn’t the best so I like to use it while plugged in but the charging cable it comes with is only 3ft long. This item is best placed on something elevated which is way higher than the 3ft cable. I was able to remedy this by using a USB extender. Would’ve liked to see it come with either a USB extender or a 6ft cable.2.) The head is supposed to be adjustable. I kept trying to point it downwards but it wouldn’t go down. Then I realized it wasn’t adjustable to go lower at all but rather higher. This makes no sense to me because you want the laser to point downwards on the floor or lower part of a wall. I followed another helpful reviewer’s review of pinching the plastic pieces under the base to remove the head, reverse the head, and reconnect; PERFECT! It was a little difficult to pinch the clips in the base as my fingers are short, but got the job done with needle-nose pliers. Why it doesn’t just come that way to begin with is a mystery to me.I’m knocking 2 stars off for needing additional equipment and configuration. Otherwise, my cat loves this thing when he’s in the mood. He still prefers I use a hand-held laser which I get because he’s playing with me and not a robot. But I work from home and this helps for the moments where he wants attention while I’m on the clock, otherwise i still use the hand-held laser.

Three Speed Settings
I have a kitten and the fastest setting is just a little too exhausting for him to keep up with. But at the lowest setting, he seems to be able to find more enjoyment in chasing the laser dot. The dot is bright and moves in a very strategic fashion that seems to intrigue my kitten. It is well constructed and even after accidentally knocking it over two times onto a hard surface floor it still functions as good as new! The only drawback is due to the problem of not having an actual physical object, that my kitten can feel in his paws, after about fifteen minutes he kind of gives up. But the next day he will chase that red dot once again renewed interest. I am happy with my purchase.

Best toy ever! Why did it take me so long to find this thing? The cats are literally laughing at the dog going nuts for the red dot. Constant entertainment and after they’re all tired. Good quality and holds its charge for a good amount of time.Highly recommend!

My 1.5yo Australian shepherd/border collie cross LOVES the laser pointer. I saw this and KNEW he HAD to have it!!!!Iâve been dealing with some health issues the past several months that have kept me pretty home bound. My boys are used to their daily walks and several trips out of town to run & play ball with the catch-it. So theyâre a little bored & high strung lately from so much time spent at home. This thing is AWESOME! Iâm not really sure if my 11yo Aussie can even see it he light – if he can, he just completely ignores it lolWe were enjoying a backyard fire a couple nights this past week & took the âkitty lightâ outside when it got dark out. It went ALL OVER my large yard. Spark LOVED IT!! It kept him occupied & happy for a very long time! (I turned it back on when it auto shut off a couple times) when it turns off he just sits there staring at it waiting for it to turn back on! Maybe a little obsessive but itâs better than obsessive barking, chewing or destroying things!!It really keeps him on his toes with the 100% randomness!! He often blocks it with his body but heâs figuring that out, too! Just need to put it up a little higher than his height & itâs not as bad.GREAT PURCHASE!! I very highly recommend
