Wearing these while I wash my dog has helped tremendously. Not only do they protect my hands, but they provide so much more coverage area and scrubbing action while washing that it makes it easier on my arms. I only wish they came in a bit smaller size as I have small hands.

My old grooming gloves worked better. One of my pugs is a hairy beast. After a bath, the old gloves got rid of tons of loose hair. This mitt didnt even take care of half of what the old ones did. On the positive side, it did remove some hair, and the dogs will sit forever very happily as long as youâre using this on them. They really enjoyed it. Iâll still use this occasionally, but when the fur is really flying, Iâll go back to my old ones.

Limited grooming capabilities: Not for double-coated breeds and/or dogs with longer fur
I was stoked to try the Messy Mutts reversible silicone pet grooming glove based on all the glowing recommendations I have heard from others. Alas, the glove is not a one sized fits all approach.The glove is comically large, which initially seemed great since it will cover more surface area, but it also concerned me since I have smaller hands. Thankfully, there is an internal strap that allows me better control over it. Regardless, the fit is still not the best and forces my hand into an awkward position for a prolonged time, which isn’t remotely comfortable. Its performance is also lackluster. My pup is a double-coated breed with longer fur. The bristles do not pick up most surface level shedding, but, with numerous strokes over the exact same area, it will eventually pick up a tiny amount of fine fur. It does not come remotely close to deeper penetration of the upper layers, much less to his undercoat. The only saving grace is that my pup seems to enjoy its use just as a gentle dry massage.
