Helped my take care of stray cats over the winter.
Stays warm enough to keep water from freezing in temperatures down to around 5 degrees Farenheit with negative windchill through ice and snow storms. Stray cats loved it and kept them alive thru the winter. Didn’t want to put a water dish inside their heated house where they would spill it all over the heating pads, so I put this outside their house and it stayed lukewarm and drinkable. Kept the kitties (and at least one lucky raccoon) alive thru the winter.

I did not get paid or receive anything for my review. I personally ordered and paid for this item at Amazon.ca ” Verified Purchase “.This is a great product if you live in an area that does not get any colder than a maximum of -15C. The 25 Watt heater is not sufficient enough to handle any temperatures that are lower than what I have the stated and the water will eventually freeze in the bowl. It’s a great size for cats and is very stable. It holds approximately 6 cups of water and not 1 quart ( 8 cups ) as advertised but the 6 cups of water is very sufficient for my needs. If this 1 quart size had a 60 Watt heater instead of the 25 watt heater it would be excellent for -30C to -40C temperatures. There are several ” Farm Innovator ” 60 Watt ” Heated Pet Bowls ” available but most hold 1.5 gallons of water or a greater volume of water and that capacity and the over all size is simply too large for my needs.
