Easy setup and usage
Setting up this gate was super easy. The instructions were clear, and all the hardware was included. The retractable design is great because it works in all kinds of spaces, from wide hallways to open areas. It took just a few minutes to get it securely installed and ready to go. This baby gate has been a game-changer, keeping both my kids and pets out of the kitchen. I’m really happy with it—it fits perfectly and does exactly what I need. With so many great features, this gate is the ideal solution for keeping kids and dogs safe. It’s not only secure but also super simple to install and use. The design is straightforward, so we can set it up or take it down without any hassle. The latch mechanism works smoothly, allowing us to pass through while keeping the dogs safely contained.

Aesthetic and ease of use.
Fairly easy install (only difficult part is undoing the locking mechanism – it is NOT just a rotate movement but a LIFT and rotate). Also doing the install I’d recommend 2 people, one to hold the screen when extended, and the other doing the bracket marking ang mounting. Was a bit of a hassle for 1 person.The white one we bought is aesthetically very pleasing. It’s tall enough to keep kids in/out and the dogs in their place. My only concern is if you have a larger dog with seperation anxiety they may rip through the material. I have older, more sedate dogs and it’s perfect. Also the spring tension is very strong, if you accidentally let go of the non-roller end WHOOSH it is back on the other side rolled up.For us it works, be cautious around pre-teens/teens the may mess up the unit by simply letting go of it when opening.

Easy to crawl under and broken after 1 year of use.
This gate is great in many ways. It was relatively easy to set up and use and functions well for dogs or children who accept boundaries without much exploration. Unfortunately my toddler found out how to crawl under it within a few hours. I considered returning the product, but decided to move some mats near the gate making it more difficult to crawl under and at least slowing him down. After using the gate only occasionally for the past year it has broken and is no longer usable. I have tried to find a way to contact the company about a replacement part but haven’t had any luck. Again if you have a dog or child that will simply remain on one side of the gate this is a great option. If they try to get under/over the gate it is not all that difficult to do and the product only lasted a year with light use.

We bought this gate because we were fostering some pups and wanted to keep the.. messes centralized to one area instead of the whole house.our opening was 54 inches wide. We put down 2 of the center hoops. These were difficult because they were circles and were hard to open and take off the loop from up high so we had to get down on the floor to undo the loops. The pups could still wiggle their way under the gate.The more times we opened and closed the gate the more the gate would stretch and pull.The gate was installed straight (used a level). So it was straight up and down on each wall, and same distance from the floor on each side of the opening.The gate continued to stretch and pull with normal use and became “floppy” on the top, so was not appealing and also started sagging which encouraged pups to reach up and pull on the floppy part.I can see a child doing this as well. I would not recommend this type of gate for large openings due to the very limited life span it would have with normal daily use.

Has been useful but the hook broke after 3 months….now the gate is not usable anymore unless I pay another $50 for replacement
