My cat uses it
My new cat was constantly scratching the corner of my sectional. I originally placed a free-standing scratcher there and she used it but sometimes still squeezed behind it and scratched the furniture. This is helping a lot. She likes and uses it. Assembly was pretty easy even without written or illustrated instructions but one of the wood pieces did have the holes drilled incorrectly. Iâm keeping it anyway since itâs not a big deal. My biggest complaint is that the sides are made of 2 pieces of wood stacked atop each other and connected with dowels instead of solid pieces, probably to make the shipping box smaller. I would also rather get 3 covers in the same color instead of 3 different colors because I can tell the cover will need replacing eventually and the other 2 colors donât match my sectional.

Loving this. Would give 5 stars except for two things: 1st: it didnât come with instructions 2nd: where the two sections go together at theyâre only held together with the wooden pegs -not sturdy, so I added wood glue. Only other thing to consider is when you buy this consider getting a second piece of wood the same thickness as the bottom piece as to level out one end of your couch and not have it wonky and uneven on one end.

It took a minute to figure out which pieces were which as their directions are very basic. I added pictures of the steps to help. I used the large screws for the side pieces & the small ones for the bottoms. Hopefully these pictures will help the next person put this together faster. Seems good quality & sturdy now that itâs put together. Iâm guessing the carpet part will need to be replaced before the unit but Iâll add to this review later if needed. Good luck.

Barely lasted 2 weeks
This product is pretty poor quality for a scratching post. I only have 2 cats and they tore this thing to shreds in no time at all. The pads only last about 2 weeks each and they are completely shot. Not to mention the fact that it creates a lot more of a mess than any scratching post I’ve ever owned. Every day I was cleaning up large clumps of fibers from all over my floor. I’m looking for a new scratcher.

Luckily, my husband was able to figure out how to put it together without any instructions. We are happy with the final result, hopefully our cat that likes to sharpen on the corner of the sofa will use it. It’s good quality, and as expected, just lacking instructions for assembly.

Yup.. no instructions and after laying everything out, I still can’t figure out how to put it together. I have more holes than wood. Could it be my fault, sure? Was I given instructions on the manufacturer expects it to be assembled? No. I searched the box and packaging twice.
