Okay Grooming Tools
Stainless Steel Teeth Grinding Tool (2pack, Brand: KT Deals Store) – I was able to groom a thick haired doodle dog with no troubles. These grooming combs are nice to have and nice to have extra on hand. These are a good deal at 2 for under 10. The ends are rough cut and that can affect the overall handling and comfort. The tines are average thickness and have rounded tips.

Excellent
This comb set is excellent quality and thickness. Love the two sizes – perfect for all size dogs including small breeds with the little comb. Super sturdy and well made.

A solid pair of extra combs to keep in the car
My long-haired, full-coated Coton de Tulear requires daily grooming to keep him from becoming a mess of mats and tangles. On the advice of our groomer, I purchased a very expensive Chris Christensen poodle comb *and* a Greyhound comb. I have one to use upstairs on the grooming table, and one to use downstairs if we’re ever sitting around with some downtime. But the pup and I are also out and about a lot, and by the time we get home from our daily adventures, sometimes the tangles are so bad that I have to cut through them. I realized that it would be good to try to comb out any trouble spots more immediately to prevent them from becoming dreaded mats, but I’ve hit my limit on purchasing pricey grooming tools. This pair of combs is a perfectly good solution for quick comb-throughs on the go. I use the side larger comb (the side with the tines spaced further apart) for his body, and the smaller one is perfect for his paws. How do they compare to my more expensive combs? So far, I can’t tell the difference! These combs glide through the hair with no snags, no pointy ends, no flexing. At this low price for two combs that are doing the job just fine, it’s kind of a no-brainer to have these on hand as extras!

Great for detangling, easy on fur, but might not be for thick coats
This 2-pack of stainless steel combs is a great value for routine pet grooming. The rounded teeth are gentle on your pet’s fur and help prevent scratching. They work well for both long and short-haired pets to remove tangles and loose fur. However, the teeth are a bit on the finer side, so they might not be strong enough for thick or matted fur. Overall, a good choice for basic grooming

Tough grooming combs.
I have two smaller Maltese/Yorkie pups and we try to keep their hair at a shorter to medium length, but my little guy has super thick hair that gets matted after bathing when it gets a bit longer. We have used the plastic combs in the past, but the teeth usually break. I think these are very nice combs and they ae super sturdy -the larger comb has the teeth closer together and the smaller one has wider teeth. The combs work well, but they do get a little hard to hold after a while. The combs will mostly be used for smaller jobs, but I will be using a comb with a handle when there are more snarls to get out.

Nice, durable combs for everyday grooming.
While each comb has two sets of prongs one finer and one wider, I was hoping the smaller comb was overall smaller and scaled down, but both combs have identical spacing and are just different sizes with different prong lengths. This is no matter. I sacrificed one of the prongs for you prospective buyers and yes, the prongs can be bent but this require a lot of force that is not likely to happen during normal use. Bend them far enough out of the way, try to recover them, and yes they did break, but I highly doubt you’ll see this happen detangling even the worst of mats. You’ll be perfectly happy with these if you are sick of the fragile plastic ones. The base handle is solid and my full strength cannot bend it. Anecdotally, my cat seems to tolerate these combs better than the existing silicone brush I have. Overall, I think these were a very reasonable choice for every day grooming and detangling just as they are advertised for. You’ll want something finer for a flea comb if that’s what you’re after.
