Great for active dogs.
I have purchased various iterations of this type of dog toy. However, this one is the bat. The ball is variegated so it is easy for my dog to hang on to. The rope is sturdy and connected well. Itâs just the right weight for a medium to large sized dog. The rope makes it easy to throw far and keeps me from having to touch the drool ridden ball. Also, I bought an extra one to use to work out knots in my upper back around my shoulder blades. I just hold on to the rope, toss the ball over my shoulder, and lean against the wall. Works great for this purpose and much less expensive than an actual massage ball, plus the varigated ball works better.

Good ball, flimsy rope
I got these originally as training toys for my Belgian Malinois and I wasn’t going to let him play with them unsupervised because I know how he likes to chew ropes in hiding. But somehow he managed to get them down off from on top of the fridge and completely demolish the rope within minutes!! After that I just cut the rest of the rope off and now use just the ball part. They are sturdy!! They are heavy and not very bouncy, but my Malinois can’t chew them up so that is impressive. Although some dogs will chew any ropes these were pretty small and thin in comparison to the ball.

Best outside toy ever…
Okay, maybe that’s too much but honestly, this is a pretty good throw and fetch ball setup. I’ve gone through a few and made my own for our pup but this one so far, the worst she’s done is fray the rope a little bit. We’ve gotten some great times so far with this one. I can’t say if I know if it floats or not yet, been too cold to go swimming still in the lake. This throw ball is great in that when I spin it to throw it makes a very distinct sound that our pup hears and gets her all excited to chase… Usually bounces several times giving her the opportunity to jump in the air to catch it. I saw a similar exercise toy/ball at our USA dog trainers and searched Amazon and found this one… If you have an active pup that likes to fetch, this is a good activity toy for outside. It’s hard rubber so I would not recommend it inside.

This is a great training toy. Our 3 yr old GSD loves it. Works well for training also.

Not for extra large breeds.
Rope is very small.

Worth the cost
I purchase these semi regularly for a reward for a police K9. I do not allow him to chew them regularly, however, they last for several months as a reward. The rope typically pulls out several times over the life of each ball, but it isnât too difficult to untie the knot and fix the toy.

Ball is good, rope is average
I have a high energy German Shep. The ball is great, the rope lasted maybe 3-4 days. It came off when we were playing “tug”. I also gave one to my neighbor and he had the same issue. We still use it though. The ball is lasting just fine.

Great toy for an active dog
Great toy for my border collie who wants to play all day. The ball is heavy, hard, and durable. The attached rope makes it easy to toss a long distance. If your dog is like mine and extremely fast and tries to anticipate where the ball is flying, use care and make sure this toy bounces a few times before the dog catches up to it.Its so hard and heavy that you won’t want to accidently hit your dog with it or have them take a direct hit in the month as I could break a tooth or worse

Like: Balls are holding up to a strong male GSDDislike: the knot in the rope came off straight away, and I wish the rope was thicker or had a comfortable handle. In my case, the rope really hurts my hand, but that’s mainly because my dog is very strong. This rope thickness might work best for small to small/medium breed dogs.Use product for: Training & Supervised Play with a year old 80+lb GSD.(We do NOT use this as a chew toy)

Handle came undone and rope outer sleeve came off after one use. Pity the quality isn’t good because my dog loved it.

Accidentally wrote a wrong review and took it down. Was for another set of training balls from a different company. Sorry guys. These ones are great. Using them every day.
