Bulky, clunky, but still great for short fur
I had high hopes for this 3-in-1 and was surprised by how bulky it is. It feels like a thick handled hammer in hand which isn’t the greatest if you’re trying to groom a wiggling bundle of fur or switching between grooming tools. On the plus side, inside is stored your third type of pet comb AND you’ll not mistake this tool for anything else when quickly grabbing between tools! The slide button is not smooth glide but then, you’ll not accidentally slide it mid groom! One side has short tines, great for short haired animals. Not quite good enough for de-flea but how often does one need to do that? Hopefully never. So, this side works pretty good – despite the clunky bulk of the hammer-head tool – on my short haired cats that do not have dense coats. The two with plushy, so very plushy, short hair – not so good. To be that plush, it is the most dense fur on this planet, I swear, and needs a garden rake to actually get through it. Can’t fault this tool for that lack – as I said, on the other short hair cats, it works pretty good. I do have better, but I also have worse, combs. The other side of the slide, long tines (and I won’t mention the clunky bulk of the tool head again). Here is where I am sadly unimpressed. The tines are too close together. I even tried on plushy cats and no go but almost. ALMOST. Better than most but still almost. Again, not from lack of trying. And on the long haired cat and on the dogs (husky, elkhound), no go. Tines too close together. However, the short hair cats, they loved it better than the short tine side. Apparently, it really gets the spot and they melt. Who knew. Now to the secretly stored de-shed comb – if that is what it is called. I have a much larger version that works beautifully on the dogs and the angora cat. This one didn’t do that bad – remember, this actually thins the hair so do NOT use it over and over in the same spot. You are, essentially, razoring the hair off your animal. It is meant to thin the fur out, such as I need for the angora cat and both dogs. Use even, long, strokes and not a lot of them, either. It will catch on any mats or dense sections and pull so use a slower, gentle stroke. Not bad, tool, not bad performance. Also, it isn’t on the clunky hammer tool, it is stored INSIDE so no clunkiness. Just a bit on the too small side of the scale.Once last time, if it weren’t for feeling like I’m wielding Thor’s hammer, this would be a pretty good tool for general use of the short tine comb. Also, widen the space between the long tines, make the thinning tool a bit bigger, and 100% win!

    Great for What it Is!
This is a grooming tool for all! This is made well and absolutely perfect for travel if pets needs require it because it saves space! I had great expectations for this and it did not disappoint.I was in the pet industry for years and years and was the sole buyer of everywhere I managed. These would have sold like hotcakes, especially for fleas, even though it is not really a flea product but has what many folks use for removing them during a bath or after,It talks largely of cats here but it is any critter with fur or hair that needs these to be used. I see great longevity with this 3-in-1 tool and think it makes a great gift. Also, an excellent idea to give to shelters, groomer students, rescues, and the like. I know a good pet product and this is that. No, it is not a professional tool but when I was grooming at my shops, I would have loved this!

    Solid Design, but Effectiveness Varies
This 3-in-1 pet grooming tool is a clever idea, but its performance can be hit or miss, depending on your pet’s coat type. It works well on short-haired pets, effectively pulling out loose fur without much hassle. However, for pets with thick, dense coats, like fluffy dogs or long-haired cats, the tool struggles to get deep enough to really make a difference. The retractable combs are convenient, but the button mechanism can be a bit sticky, making it tough to switch between modes smoothly. The handle, while long and sturdy, can feel bulky during use, especially if you have smaller hands. That said, the tool’s versatility—offering multiple combs in one compact design—makes it great for travel or everyday grooming, but it doesn’t replace more specialized brushes. If your pet is sensitive to pulling, be cautious, as the tool can tug at the hair a bit too much on thicker coats. Overall, it’s a decent grooming tool, particularly for short-haired pets, but it may not live up to the hype for everyone.

    Junk
Don’t waste your money. It’s so cheaply made that. It doesn’t work well on my cats fur.

    Great
Grooming my cat is the most challenging thing I have dealt with when it comes to animals. She was abused as a baby, when we found her she was hurt, it took tome for her to even get used to me and now because of what she went through she fears everything. So it’s hard to get her all cleaned up. This is a super big help with the process. She like the feels, sometimes she gets startled when she feels it but so far it’s work well, cleaning up her loose and shedding fur.

seems functional but not for my shorthair tabby
My shorthair tabby hates being brushed so I’m constantly looking for brushes that he will tolerate. Sadly, this one he hates. I tried it on myself first and it doesn’t hurt, however, if you apply enough pressure it does scratch at the skin a bit and starts feeling uncomfortable. Also I wiped it down before using with some alcohol and let it fully dry before using it on him and I did notice that some grime or dirt game off so I wasn’t too happy about that.I used it gently on him as he also has some arthritis in his hips and he seemed to be okay the first few seconds and then decided that it was enough. I also only give this item 3 stars because it didn’t remove as much fur as a different brush he has at home. The bottom brush was too wide-toothed to pick up any hair. The medium one did a decent job but still only removed very little and the other side was about the same as the second, a little fur but barely any. I later brushed him with the brush I tend to use on him and it picked up so much fur off of him that I realized this 3 in 1 comb was just not a good fit for us. Maybe it’d work better for dogs or a thicker furred critter but if you also have a shorthaired tabby cat I do not recommend this comb.
