Customers say
Customers appreciate the pet activity structure for its value, scratching ability, and health benefits for cats. They find it a good investment for both cats and furniture. The scratch pad provides a surface for cats to scratch on and is a great alternative for them to scratch. Many customers like its effectiveness and appearance. However, some find the size too small and thin, making it uncomfortable for larger cats. There are mixed opinions on the durability of the product.

Read carefully, but great value for money!
We own a large, 9 lbs, 7 year old female cat and bought an 8-pack of these about 6 months ago. She loves them and uses them constantly (like, ALOT). We use about one a month, and gave one to our daughter, who’s two cats also love them (so I am ordering more after writing this review). Let me tell you the negatives first, and then explain why they don’t matter. These are thinner (1 inch vs 1.5-2 inch typically used by other brands), about an inch smaller on all sides than your typical brands, they don’t come with a “box” to use them in, and the cardboard they use is slightly softer than some brands use. Now at first you might be tempted to dismiss this product because you think this is a negative review. It’s not and you SHOULD buy these, they are a good value. Here’s why – the thinner size doesn’t matter because the cats are only scratching as deep as their claws (and our cat hasn’t come even close to clawing thru one of these, even though she’s pretty aggressive on these and we flip them to use both sides before replacing them). The smaller dimensions and no box are not an issue because we just throw ours right on the floor as is – our cat sits on it (as if it were in a box) and uses it just fine. We had cut the bottom off of the shipping box to use with the pad the first time, but our cat couldn’t have cared less and it was a pain to get the used pad out to replace it, so now we don’t bother with it. (Honestly, I doubt your cat will care if there’s a box or not, either.) The slightly softer cardboard these are made of (compared to the brand we were using before) means our cat uses one of these a month instead of one every two months; but the other brand was $15 for ONE (with a cute box to hold it) and these pads come in an 8-pack for $20. (You do the math!) One little side note… each pad comes with a tiny little packet of catnip (it’s just a pinch worth).

She likes it!
I know it seems silly to pay for a cardboard box that will be delivered in a cardboard box for free, but the depth of cardboard appears to be comforting to my cat and she gets excited when I change the bottom padding. Very easy assembly. Sturdy and cat scratch friendly. It keeps my cat cozy and warm so I think itâs worth the money, but itâs a little on the small size.

Cats go through these quickly
Rip and tear. Its what they are for, of course! Best value for the money if you go through these like I do. No assembly required. Look good, and saves your furniture.

A little small
Smaller than a normal size scratch box but I think my cats actually like this size better. Good value and quality. They love scratching these things.

Fantastic!
Got these as part of my two cats Christmas presents. They are a little thinner than the average scratch boxes, but there are eight in there and they work just perfectly for the kitties. The cats are satisfied and so am I. I will definitely repurchase if still priced well.

Not well made, tear up too easily.
My cats went through these in no time.

Cat scratch pads I use for birds!!!
You read that right. I was tired of spending twice as much for a bird pad for them to destroy, which that is what it is made for. I saw a package at a store of cat scratch pads that looked identical to the birds pads, just twice as long.Ok Iâll order them and either cut in half or leave them whole. I kept the screws/washers/wing nuts from the destroyed one, you never throw those things away! And inverted into the new pad and placed where it was going to go in the aviary.Itâs very durable, simple to put together, looks the same as before, the birds easily peck/rip/scratch which helps keep their beaks and nails healthy. You can add millet or seed or dried greens in the tiny holes to encourage their overall health and exercise. However, my birds need no encouragement in destroying break apart toys, or items in their forage box, which are mostly broken pieces of natural toys.Definitely two wings up for repurposing a product for another species! And if our cats run out, it came in a multiple set and they can use. Four paws up! Feathers and fur!! ð¾ ðª¶

Kitties LOVE it!
Adopted a bonded pair of cats and set them up in their own bedroom complete with a 42 inch TV, soft music playing when the TV isnât on plenty of toys and of course this bad boy sprayed lightly with some catnip. They are in heaven! Not only do they only scratch this post And none of my other furniture but they love to just sit in it or take naps in it. High quality, great shape, Iâll be buying another one in a few months once they shred this one to pieces.

We’ve had similar products before and my cat has never taken to destroying the actual box. I sweep up her mess and by the time I’ve put the broom away she’s made another mess!I’m not sure if there’s something in the cardboard but she is determined to actually destroy the box not just scratch the bottom like usual.
