Originally bought for my 4 year olds stocking since he plays with something similar every time he goes to his papa’s. We opened them to check them out and everyone in the house loved them. The kids found them satisfying and a great stress relief. They loved the colors and texture. I bought another one since the family took the first one over and my 10 year old took it as his secret santa gift at school. All the kids loved it and even the teachers. I had parents and teachers contacting me to ask where we bought them. Fun for older kids I will return because of my kids ages, and they are very tiny pieces. They really are cool and stick together itâs a good value. Perhaps for older kids or adults as well. Could be a good stress relief!

Tactile experience: 5 out of 5! See most any other review for details.Moldability: 2 out of 5. From a creative standpoint, it’s not quite as much like putty as the pictures might lead you to believe. Like most magnets, the beads have one positive and one negative side, so they want to form strands more than solid clumps. The irregular shapes of the beads and their somewhat weak magnetism help break up the strands a little to allow more clumping… but those same attributes reduce the stability of any shape you try to give it. This also means that any strands you might TRY to make will stop supporting their own strength after they’ve gotten 10-15 beads long.Long story short: These are great if you just want to squish them or mindlessly fiddle with them. Just don’t expect it to match putty, play dough, or kinetic sand as a creative outlet.

When They are Happy and You Know It!
As soon as my 14 yr old autistic grand opened his present and saw this, he was immediately excited. The other grands wanted to join in the fun. The weight surprised me, but itâs understandable. Iâd thought the set would be larger, due only to the number of pieces. The responses from my multi-aged group of grands told me that this would be fun for ALL the children, regardless of age. The younger ones do require close supervision. Pleased with the quality, cost, and the imagination used by all.

The magnetism is almost none
Iâve been using small magnets for a long time now and yes they are fun and they help you in ways that youâll be surprised. That said, this was the first time Iâve bought this kind and Iâm not glad. If by any chance you let them fall which you will because they just do not hold together, good luck getting them all back. They do feel good to the touch but thatâs about it, you canât shape them to any shape or do much of anything with them. My spheres and cubes are still to me the best option.

These were supposed to be super fun, but they’re just sort of mediocre. Their individual magnetic fields are pretty weak. Their only saving grace is that there is so many of them and they feature a nice color scheme. They were barely usable for anything more detailed than a blob, or sculpting a potato, or some other blob-ish sculpture.

Love the way they interlock. It forms almost a line of magnetic beads. Tiny little pebbles not good for kids. Doesnât make too much noise if theyâre used on a padded surface. They help with my anxiety at work.
