Thick and Sturdy
I really like the height, the quality that your ability the thickness of the stand it last very well. It holds very well. I donât have any problems. It held up through several strong storms without bending I did follow one of the other users review suggestions and added some scotch tape in between the split of the hooks to make sure that no birds get stuck there otherwise Iâm happy with the purchase.

This is of sturdy quality and went together super easily. Perfect for our backyard island, holding two solar lanterns. Also appreciated the company’s accommodation for bird safety, which shows responsible, caring manufacturing policy. Good purchase.

Nice shepherd hook but with a design flaw that creates a hazard for the birds.
I do like this product. The claw foot sinks deep into the ground and keeps the structure sturdy with very little wobble. The pole is hollow so I was able to drill a small hole and placed a nail that acts as an anchor to prevent my squirrel baffle from sliding down.It did not even occur to me that it could be harmful for the birds until I woke up one morning to find a small woodpecker had gotten one of its feet stuck in the narrow space between the two hooks. I was able to remove the detachable hook to free the bird. But once I got a closer look it became clear that the poor bird had probably been there for a few hours and the trapped foot was broken. The birds like sit on top rounded portion of the hook and I suspect the woodpecker didn’t stick the landing and unluckily slid down the slope of the hook in just the right way to catch its foot.I think I will try to fill the gap between the hooks with hot glue, or just wrap it in duct tape so that I can continue to use this product and enjoy the birds without posing a hazard to them!

Sturdy and decorative
I’d been looking for a while for something to replace my old bird feeder pole but most products were lightweight poles similar to what i was replacing & prone to rust. These two ‘crooks’ are solid, heavy & I’m sure will last much longer than what i was replacing. They are also a good height so bird feeders hang well above the ground & were easy to assemble & push into my soil. They are very sturdy for hanging bird feeders. They also look good in my mixed border with the circular top design which the birds like perching on. Very pleased with my purchase.

Deadly to Birds Do Not Buy!
This bird feeder hanger is DEADLY to birds, it has a major design flaw. Once assembled There is a long vertical gap between the two arm hooks. The birds try to land on top of the hooks and slip off into the gap and their legs get caught because the gap narrows like a trap and they canât get free. We have rescued 2 birds from the gap and the last one died as you can see on the picture. We awoke this morning to this very upsetting and sad view. We have removed this hanger from our yard. Do Not Buy!! The manufacture needs to fix this major design flaw. I canât use this for a plant hanger either because the birds still try to land on it! I did not want to post the picture but the manufacturer does not think this is an issue! Please do not buy this hanger!

Nice little hooks, hole place in yard well.
They do not tip. Sturdy, but too short for bird feeders, squirrels happily use them and I am afraid my dogs could catch squirrels anf birds easily at that height. Will use for hanging baskets and night lights. Check height to allow for the stakes.

Nice and sturdy, but don’t add too much weight
This shephers hook works nicely for hanging my two matching hanging baskets of flowers. However, after a heavy rain, the weight got too much and the whole things tipped over. It did not bend the pole, just pulled the stakes out of the wet ground. If the 4-way prongs were longer, it would have avoided the situation, therefore a 4 rating.
