I added this to a kennel for some extra support. Under the zipper cover, It is a unique webbing of plastic fibers that interested me due to their rinsing ability and airflow. It provides decent support. The cover removes easily for washing. I wish that the cover had a slightly softer feel.

my dogs aren’t feeling this too much
I have two dogs who are both about 60 lbs. This is a good size mat for them. They are still relatively young so don’t necessarily need the ortho support yet, but it does get hot in CA so I thought I’d try this cooling mat.The first thing my sweet annoying dog did was start to chew the corner of this. I’m wondering if it might have had an initial smell I couldn’t smell because after I put it away for a week or so she didn’t try to chew on it again. No chewing since and it’s been a few weeks now.I really can’t speak to this being much cooler than other dog mats, but in theory it should be because it does allow for air flow with the design that is clearly visible. The inside is a weird plasticky sponge material weaved to allow for the airflow. I don’t see how this is any more supportive or orthopedically sound than an eggshell dog bed though.It feels more like an upscale dog crate mat than an orthopedic dog bed. My dogs have other choices of dog beds in the house and though they may be less cool, they always pick another dog bed over this one. For the price, I’d stick with an eggshell dog bed if orthopedic concerns are a priority or a raised dog bed if the airflow cooling feature is desired.

Basic vinyl cover with open weave over plastic netting stuffing
It sure how to explain it but the inside of this is literally a filter looking thing. Like a bunch of strings of hot glue that were bundled together and made into a rectangular block. The stitching inside the cover is frayed and when you wash it becomes frayed tangled mess. Do not waste your money on this product. My three dogs didnât like it, and if you have a chewer, this is shredded in minutes.

Perfect mat to set outside on the balcony for our Pup to “Sun” on!
Our lil guy likes to Sun as often as he can and this gives him a nice place to lay and much safer (cooler) than the black RV mat we have spread out on our balcony! He was a bit hesitant to try it at first but now he RUNS TO IT!

Not sure if cooling, but dog lays on it
It is not my dogs favorite bed, but she does lay on it. She does try to fluff it, witch it doesn’t budge. A bit thin, more like a mat then a bed.
