    Long lasting, pricey.
My aggressive chewers that can mow through antlers love them. They are very hard. They do not splinter. Small sawdust like pieces come off but it’s not excessive. A friend got the puppy version and thought it was too soft and many more pieces came off. They’re made of cellulose which is essentially paper and I’d rather have my dogs pass pieces of that through their digestive tract than nylon/rayon/plastic. They have lasted for over a month, I fully expect at least 2 by our daily usage. The large is a big size. When they first arrived I thought they were going to be too big for my 30 to 40 lb dogs, but they like holding it. I would assume that any large breed dog except for the extra large breeds would be happy with the size of this. They have no odor wet or dry. I think it is good value for how long they last AND because it’s an alternative to the plastic garbage out there. I still think pricey for a chew that is probably very cheap to make, but kudos to them for excellent execution and exceeding my expectations.

    Great for super-chewers!
My dog can usually chew through the toughest of toys very quickly. This has lasted over a month and has minimal wear-and-tear and is still in tact despite lots of use. Highly recommend.

    Very tough
We had bought a Benebone, which is inedible, because they were supposed to be almost indestructible. Our 10 year old golden retriever had the end in shards on the first chew, so we took it away and sent it back. The Better Bone is edible and non-toxic, and it turns out much harder than the Benebone. We’ve had it a week and it looks like new. Much better choice and will last a long time.

    Best toy investment ever
I’ve spent 100s of dollars trying to find toys my dog couldn’t destroy in a matter of minutes. I’ve tried Benebone but the Betterbone is far superior and lasts much longer.

    Much better bone
Got this for my pit bulls. Heavy duty for power chewers. No hard plastic stuck in their beds or poking my bare feet on the floor after they’ve chewed the heck out of it. Lasts a really long time too. They’re still chewing on it and it’s still in tact. Other bones like nylabone, purchased well after these and given as a gift to the dogs I had to throw out a week later because was sharp, dangerous and half gone. Those just don’t last at all with my power chewing dogs. I definitely recommend it Had this for many months now and only has some teeth marks on ends. Dogs love it and easier for them to hold onto.

BetterBone Hard Beef – Sustainable All Natural Flavor Infused Dog Bones
Unfortunately the rating don’t contain how much interest dog shows in product. I have to agree that it is hard, doesn’t flake and will probably last a very long time. The biggest problem is that despite my dog (Cavachon) love of chewing and gnawing on things, he only has a low level of interest in it. He much prefers the Benebone’s. When he has a choice he goes for those and only if nothing else is available will he spend a little time working on this one. But he tires of it fairly quickly. So far he has only gotten a few small grooves chewed in it. I had really hoped he liked this one more since these are way more durable, wouldn’t have him ingesting small bits of nylon and wouldn’t require sanding of the sharp small particles periodically.

    Okay
A lot of research to find that this bone is made of something that is OK for a dog to be chewing. That is why I purchased it. I have learned, however, that my dog, being only 30 pounds, prefers toys that are a little bit smaller. This toy is big and substantial and chewable And very rigid. I think that because of its size, my dog is a little bit disinterested in playing with it for any length of time. I am going to look for a smaller version of it, but from the same company, saving this one for when perhaps maybe he Is bigger.

THIS IS AN AMAZING, INCREDIBLE CHEW TOY.I have a potcake (terrier mix) from St. Lucia that’s 33lbs. He gets bored easily as he’s still a puppy (9 months), and no matter what I gave him, he would destroy it. I had to stop giving him stuffed animals and anything that wasn’t made of REALLY durable rubber.I never believed in giving these kinds of bones to dogs because they break off shards of nylon, and it made absolutely no sense to me. How could you purposely give your dog something that they can break off during play and it can harm them when they swallow it? I still don’t get it.THIS ONE. It’s made of organic, natural materials, so I’m not worried at all about if my dog consumes it. That said, there aren’t any pieces coming off it! He’s making consistent gouges in it (see attachment), but he absolutely loves it. IT’s gotten to the point where if I hear him chewing on this bone, I breathe a sigh of relief because I know he’s playing with something safe. He has had no issues, and we’ve had this toy for months and it’s still in GREAT condition! The price point is pretty high, but you’re going to get SO much more toy for SO much more time, it’s worth the investment. Thank you better bone!UPDATE:it’s July 2024 and my boy finally broke off a chunk from the long end. I’m thinking of just sanding down the sharp edges and giving it back to him! He still LOVES it!

This dog chew is harder than most and is strong enough to survive the hardest of chewers. Good value.

I have a 1-year-old Dutch Sheppard who will literally destroy the “toughest” of chew toys within an hour. It’s been 3 days and so far, he’s barely made a dent on it! He loves chewing on it on and off all day.I do recommend making sure your dog’s teeth are in good condition because it’s extremely dense and hard. If your dog’s teeth aren’t in the best shape, I wouldn’t recommend this because I could see it damaging not-so-great teeth. The scratches he has made are completely smooth and aren’t sharp/dangerous like plastic toys. My dog also hasn’t shown any signs of being sick from it and his bathroom routines have been completely normal. If your dog destroys everything and has great teeth, I highly recommend this! I will be buying more once this one is done!EDIT: he has now finally chewed through the top part after 3 months! In the process of ordering another one!

My 21 month old Tibetan has a delicate stomach so I have to be careful what I give him to chew. But he does love a chew so this is a fab find. He literally gnaws on it for ages and tires himself out – and yet it shows no sign of destruction. Great value for money. Highly recommend.
