5 min assembly, easy and sturdy!
This is perfect size for my cat, he is a 2 year old male but always been a bit on the smaller side. He can tug on this and it wonât tip over. This also took less than 5 minutes to assemble. It didnât take long for him to figure out the bristle feature either. I thought it might take awhile because he has never had one of those only regular scratchers, but we found him rubbing on it later that day. So yeah a normal one of these scratchers is around $20 at the store sometimes more than that and they typically are just the scratch post, this one is good value because it has two features for your kitty to enjoy. I suggest getting this and getting another cardboard plank scratcher for one single cat, if I only had this scratch post for him he would probably tear through it pretty fast but give your kitty at least one other scratch plank and this will make this scratch post last way longer. Also, I trim my cats nails as needed. My cat runs to his post whenever my boyfriend gets home and gets ready to feed him. Cats need to scratch for exercising muscles, letting out energy/excitement and I actually just read itâs a way for them to mark territory. My cat doesnât really scratch on our furniture, never has. He has always had 2-3 items of his own he can scratch on.

cats love it…but it’s flimsy
as soon as I opened the box, the kitties walked over. i got it for the brush, but they’ve been disinterested. The do like the post. they knock the set over pretty regularly and these are small cats, so i can’t imagine what large cats would do/ we may need to find a way to weight it. It took me maybe a min or two to assemble

My cats love it, use it all the time.
My cats love to claw this and use it all the time. But, they never figured out how to use the brush. Do put it in a place where you can watch it though as one of my kittens when he was younger got his paw tangeled up in the string or rubber band that had a ball attached to it. but I was glad I was there to help him get loose. I have since cut that part off.

Great concept with not a good outcome
While I have NO ISSUES with the product itself, it was sturdily designed and easy to assemble and as advertised.However, my cat, prone to coughing up a hairball or 2 a week went to daily cleanups. Seems he would brush himself and then eat the hair off the brushes like and .. furcicle.We will give ours away when we find someone whose cat isn’t a hairball barfer!!!

She Likes IT!
Our young cat rubs against the brush several times a day and also uses the scratching post often. I think that she would use it more if the base was either larger and she could fit her whole body on it or it was heavier because most times that she uses it the entire piece moves away from her thus not encouraging her to use it for a longer period of time.I’m just thrilled that she’s using it and not scratching my sofa…kitchen chairs? – that’s another issue…Maybe another scratching post?? If I could I’d rate it a 4.5 stars but I can’t so I went with the 5.
