Check your dog’s chest measurement
I ordered a size medium based on my dog’s weight, but it would not fit around his chest. I returned it and the large fits great! My dog weighs 44lbs.

Good quality
This life jacket fit my dog perfectly. It’s well made, sturdy and comfortable. The front flap keeps her head above water. She is not a fan of swimming in a pool but it works great for her water therapy post CCL ligament surgery. Attractive, buoyant and a good value. Very happy with this purchase.

Flat vest, difficult to fit, size up if close to another size
This is a very difficult dog life jacket to fit compared to others I have tried. The jacket itself is mostly flat so it’s hard to contour around a dog’s chest and it seems to want to keep the flat form even while strapped. Based on the measurements (18″ neck, 26″ chest, 50 lbs) my dog seemed to be a medium but the vest is not able to velcro around her belly. I can get the straps hooked but the inner liner is not able to secure. The neck strap is also awkward and doesn’t really fit around her neck nicely since it’s really just 2 flat pieces around the strap.I included a picture of my other vest which slips on over her head and straps easily. It is also a medium but has a contoured shape for an animal’s body.

Good Vest for Our Big Dog
We like how this goes on and that it’s definitely helping our older big dog with some pool therapy for his joints. It seems to be well made, although we just started using it, so we will see. The biggest issue is that the neck part that’s supposes to help keep the head out of the water, doesn’t line up well on our dog. It helps, but it’s a little off to the side unless we put the vest on a little twisted off to the side, but then the handles aren’t in the right spot.

These are yellow (as pictured) not orange. Seem to be of great quality. Fit my two Shih Tzu’s with extra room to spare. My dogs are both around 14 pounds.

So I haven’t tested the flotation. I suppose they work but the dogs don’t understand what a pfd is so I am unable to verify. They do look good, the carry handles on the back actually work to hoist the dogs into the boat.I can’t believe other dog life vests are 2-3x the cost of this which makes me question the flotation quality but it seems legit.It ships flat and is stiff foam so it takes some time to become dog shaped.A little difficult to put on and fasten straight, but once on, it is secure so I guess that’s more important.One dog doesn’t really like it the other is indifferent. When it’s wet and dog is wet they hate it.
